Great food. Good service. Generous portion sizes. Reasonably priced. Nice casual atmosphere, nicely decorated and designed. Cozy.

I checked in and was told I had to wait until my group arrived before I could be seated. While I stood there, the next person walked in without their group and was seated right away. By the time my group came in and I was finally seated, that same person was already sitting down still waiting for their party.

The policies here are inconsistent and unfair. Guests aren’t treated equally—some get to bend the rules, others are left waiting. Management needs to get their act together and apply the same standard to everyone.

Do not order the medium curry if you want a regular Japanese curry! It should have a warning how spicy it is. A medium should not be this spicy whatsoever. I should not experience intense heat during my first bite. It only got worse and worse. Stopped after a few bites. Not even yummy spicy. Just straight heat. What a joke.

This restaurant is perfect first stop for tourists visiting Beverly Hills. Curry udon is delicious, the fried mushrooms on top are the soul! The salad is not salty at all, just right with the curry!

The Chubby Group is known for its high-quality beef and BBQ restaurants, and I’m happy to say their take on Japanese curry is just as successful. The signature wagyu steak rice bowl was a standout—tender, flavorful, and satisfying slices of wagyu over rice that was delicious on its own. The mushroom curry was equally impressive: rich and comforting. Will come back!

This is honestly the best curry rice I’ve had in years! 🍛 The restaurant has a cozy and clean interior, and I loved the collection of anime figures on display — you can really tell the owner put a lot of heart into the place 🎌✨. I read in the reviews that the chef used to work at a Michelin restaurant, and honestly, I believe it!

We ordered the pork cutlet curry and the wagyu beef curry. The pork cutlet was perfectly fried — super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside 🐷🔥. But what really stood out was the curry itself — definitely not from a packet. It tasted slow-cooked, rich, full of flavor, with a strong and fragrant black pepper kick 🌶️🍲. Absolutely delicious!

The wagyu curry was just as good — very tender beef and a generous portion 🥩❤️. The servings were huge — the two of us couldn’t even finish both dishes. Great value for the price, and we left super full and happy 😋💯.

I thought that Chubby Curry was a great option especially for its 20-30 dollar price point. The restaurant offered a variety of different options.

The food at Chubby Curry was good especially for the price point but not great. The wagyu was good and the rice was good, however, i thought that its curry was very basic and I felt that you could get some better curry at the super market.

Service was good, quick and easy.

The atmosphere was a little strange, half full and there were some strange photos of anime girls on posters on the walls which didn’t really make any sense. The owner must be a fan.

Overall, chubby curry gave me and my friend a very pleasant experience at this restaurant, however, I view this restaurant as place I would go to if there where not any other options in the surrounding area.
