Honestly one of the best places in LA for Mediterranean food! Tastes just like Israel - maybe even better - delish!

Absolutely delicious every single time, just a little pricey but the portions could be consider large.

It’s a great place ,however they close a half hour before closing…I don’t know why they don’t just update to say the actual closing time

First, the good: the pita bread is excellent! Soft, fluffy, and up to the task of holding the variety of condiments that come on the pita by default. The sauces, particularly the fenugreek amba and the sḥuq, are welcome additions. They really load the chicken on the pita, and all the other pickled toppings are nice. The problem is, when you strip all these toppings away, the chicken itself doesn’t really have much flavor. It’s savory, and that is pretty much it. Overall the taste is pretty good, but a bit flat. It satiated me, but it didn’t delight me. Dare I say it kind of matches the expectation set by its Beverly Hills strip mall rustic chic ambience. The baguettes look great, but I don’t know how motivated I will be to try it again at the incredible price. Food reviewed: chicken shawarma pita

We usually get food from the Beverly Blvd location and love it. Today we got 4 order of shawarma plate from this location. Food was very chewy and let’s not forget how cheap they were with their protein portion. 4 plates was equivalent to 2 plates at the other location.

Sandwiches are great but the Mario in the kitchen is just unacceptable. Had a big order for to go, he threw the dishes at me with paper bags telling me that it’s my job to pack up the order. I could tell he hates to work there. Thumbs down. June 15 12:30PM.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dr. Sandwich and discovered that the name doesn’t quite do this place justice. This isn’t just a sandwich spot—it’s a full-fledged Israeli restaurant that brings an authentic taste of the Mediterranean to every dish. The pitas, baked fresh in-house, are a true highlight, perfectly complementing the robust, vibrant flavors of the menu. The experience reminded me of cherished culinary moments in Israel, and I can’t help but wish there was a similar gem here in Chicago. If you’re a fan of authentic, thoughtfully prepared Israeli cuisine, I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Sandwich. Enjoy every bite!
