One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve eaten at, in the heart of Beverly Hills. We started by sharing a plate of meatballs as an appetizer (as we saw them on every table), and it was worth it! The tomato sauce was delicious and fresh. The meatballs melted in my mouth. And the fresh bread (offered) was a perfect addition to clean the plate from the tomato sauce!I had the Lobster Ravioli, which was very fine and delicate. The pasta tasted fresh, and the lobster with spicy tomato sauce was a lovely pairing. It was a little light on the portion (luckily, we got the bread and could ask for more). Overall, it is a delicious entrée. My friend had the penne with langoustine but wasn’t overly impressed. The penne was hard, and the langoustine didn’t seem seasoned. The sauce was very liquid, and there was too much of it. For about $45 for each of our pasta dishes, it felt a bit much.I had the Mille Foglie for dessert, and my friend had the tiramisu. They were $18 each, which is a bit much for dessert, but they were both delicious. The service was excellent. The servers were very attentive and welcoming. The location is small but beautiful. We decided to eat outside as the weather was nice enough. It’s nicely secluded/hidden from the main street, which adds privacy. All in all, we paid $110 each for a two-course meal and a half (since we shared the appetizer). We had a bottle of sparkling water and no alcohol. It's a bit pricey but quite typical for LA and especially for Beverly Hills and so close to Rodeo Drive. I had a lovely experience and would definitely eat there again!Parking: Don’t pay for Valet. Plenty of Free parking (look for the BH City parking lots, as they offer 2 hours for free)

We made a 7:45 reservation to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. We arrived at 7:40 and were finally seated at 8:25. We ordered and when they brought our pasta (2nd course) they told us they were out of Caesar salads which we had all ordered as starters. Not everyone at our table had received their pastas when the entrees came out. The service was awful. We had sparkling water which our glasses kept getting refilled with tap water. There was no manager on duty to discuss our frustration for waiting 40+ minutes for our table or our poor service and the kitchen running out of Caesar salads. It was a terrible and very expensive dining experience from start to finish and no one that worked there cared at all.

E Baldi is E Baldi. There's always a little bit of attitude. The food is consistently good but never great.

Having dined at every Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills, I am convinced that E. Baldi stands unparalleled in both taste and quality. Their exceptional mastery of flavors and commitment to quality set them apart from the rest.

The food and service were excellent. Unfortunately the experience was mostly ruined by the person greeting us and seating us. We had a 5:15 reservation and arrived to an almost empty room. Only two tables were occupied. and we were nonetheless directed to a bad table in a corner next to a refrigerator. We asked if we could instead have one of the several open tables next to the window. Very grudgingly we were told that we could have one tiny table for two but would have to relinquish the table at 6:30. We objected to this treatment vigorously and stated that we would leave. Another person then took over and tried to smooth over the situation. We stayed and had a nice dinner. But, I have to say that in over 50 years of fine dining at all the best restaurants in Los Angeles and in cities around the world we have never encountered such hostility and abusive treatment from a hostess. We are no longer young but nonetheless presented as appropriate clientele for any restaurant anywhere. The hostess should be terminated for her deplorable attitude, but the management needs to do some quick corrective work as well. This restaurant is an outgrowth of the popular Georgio Baldi in the Palisades where one would never ever have received the treatment we did. Friends of ours who have frequented that restaurant for decades would be appalled to learn of the treatment we were accorded.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. Our bottle of wine arrived at our table too warm and had to be sent back to be chilled. The Dover sole arrived without any of its accompaniments — we had to ask for them. Nobody bothered to refill our water glasses. We had to get up and look for someone who could bring our bill to us — our server was too busy with other tables and would not even glance in our direction. Finally, the tables are crowded too close to each other, making it impossible to thread your way to and from a table without brushing against other diners.

Excellent... All dishes terrific... Sweet corn agnolotti, polenta and mushrooms to start. Dover sole terrific. Perfectly cooked. Halibut special also excellent. Rare to find all elements so good!

Some of the best Italian food in Los Angeles. Be sure to get the sweet corn agnolotti, branzino & artichoke salad. Incredible!

Unfortunately I am writing this review based on the lackadaisical approach of the ownership to both the quality of the food and the mediocre decor of this restaurant. The food is significantly overpriced for the quality of the food, especially when considering the decor is so cheap. Unfortunately the ownership has made absolutely no effort whatsoever on the interiors. It feels like sitting in a cheap airport lounge diner.Significantly overhypedPoor quality food. Not worth dining out here.

Talk about rip off artists!! It was 5 of us and we all wanted to do get pasta. I mean that's why you go to an Italian restaurant. But we were immediately shut down by the server saying that we can't order more than 3 pasta dishes because the kitchen is busy! The kitchen is busy? Do they not know how the restaurant business works? You know why they do that? It's to make you order beef, seafood or chicken dishes that are pricey. Another thing is that you'd have to order everything together. Another way of ripping you off because they don't want you to get full after appetizers and not order enough entree. The staff is very entitled and rude. I will not go back!

Stopped by E Baldi in Beverly Hills many times, but my most memorable visit was treating my Mom for her birthday in 2020, just before the world paused for COVID. That evening was special, and the food? It never misses. Every bite transports me straight to Italy. If you're an Italian food lover, trust me, this place is a must-visit. So many cherished memories wrapped up in the flavors of this gem.loanlightyears.com

Very mixed feelings about this restaurant, which itself is an uncomfortable mix of classic Italian almost to the point of pretentiousness with some California fusion cuisine, and of upscale aspirations with casually dressed locals seated at tables a bit too close together. The positives: some of the food is truly delicious, and the wait staff were mostly polite and friendly. The hearts of palm "fettuccine" were a delight: not a pasta at all, but hearts of palm sliced into pasta-like ribbons and dressed in a light lemon sauce. The pasta dishes are very good, a bit small for a main course but good for a second course or for sharing.Negatives: some of these could be overlooked if not for the absurdly high prices ($28 for a starter salad; $41 for a hamachi crudo starter; $53 for seared salmon; very overpriced wine list, etc). Many of the portions were small. One member of our party had the smallest branzino we'd ever seen ($53); we joked that the other half of the fish was missing. The menu is an odd mix of very classic Italian with California fusion, or Italian-Asian and Italian-Mexican fusion. The Caesar salad is made with kale (I've had a lot of bad takes on Caesar salads recently so this was a sore point). Despite having yuzu in their fusion dishes, they have no limes because...limes aren't used in Italian food. They don't have a full liquor license, only wine and two Italian beers (and no non-alcoholic beers). Our drink orders, in fact, were met with a list of things they don't have. I'd be willing to buy this all as a purist rendition of classic Italian cuisine were it not for the very non-Italian shiitake, tomatillos, jalapeños, and yuzu scattered about the menu. Also I felt rather overdressed in business casual. As others have noted, obvious locals were hanging out in T-shirts, whereas the prices, the uniformed wait staff, and the decor would all suggest a bit more formality. I'm not sure exactly what this restaurant's market is. I could get better Italian food for half the price in Westwood or WeHo. I could get better contemporary fusion cuisine all over, and with a full bar. Several reviews complain about parking. There is an inexpensive parking garage one block up on Canon.
