Genwa Korea BBQ (Beverly Hills)

I've been going to Genwa for over 10 years. The quality of the meat is good, and I primarily come for the plentiful side dishes. However, I noticed the portions on the course meals have been significantly reduced while the price has been significantly increased. The food still tastes great, but when I bring friends they feel that other restaurants are much better value for similar quality. I think the most distinctive thing about Genwa is the unlimited 25+ side dishes. That's what will keep me coming back.

I saw this place when I moved here and have been wanting to go for a while as I love Korean BBQ places. I finally had the opportunity and was kind of just like oh ok. This is good. I’ve been to top of the line KBBQ places before where $100+ per person gets you incredible flavors. Vegetables. Meats cooked to perfection. Insane cuts. This was just good. Completely not worth the price. For this much you can get an incredible meal elsewhere.

Don’t leave LA without having this Korean BBQ delicacy ! Food is just amazing and so tasty and the staff is kind and friendly explaining everything especially if it’s your first time in this type of Korean place. We had a wonderful experience and be ready as one BBQ serving option is already a lot for 2 persons.

The food was wonderful: delicious meats, and tasty side dishes. But what really made the experience memorable was the amazing staff. Charming, attentive and willing to bring us forks without even a sneer! (We explained that we would be wearing as much food as we ate if we used the very elegant chopsticks provided...we aren't good with them.) We will be back soon, and bring our friends!

Unfortunately this place should close its door. It smells when you enter the restaurant and was empty Maybe cause it's over price but never seen a Korean bbq be empty!

I went with someone who ate Korean for the first time, and is visiting from Italy. I was a memorable experience. The quality, variety, quantity and taste of food was excellent. The service was professional, friendly and very welcoming.

The food was really good and fresh. Loved grilling everything right at the table. The flavors were spot on, and the staff was friendly without being over the top. Definitely going back.

first time at genwa’s beverly hills location and it did not disappoint! it was surprisingly empty when we came for dinner on a wednesday evening and were seated immediately. love the bigger space and that this location has long booths where only one side has the bbq grill so we could put the little ones safely on the side without.

staff is super attentive, friendly and amazing with the children. at one point my 3yo started getting restless and a server showed up with a robot toy to entertain him with. they also have cute character paper plates for them to eat off of and lollipops on hand for dessert, though they make sure to have the parents’ approval before handing them out.

best part is the food! their banchan is the best and we got several refills of our favorites. we went with C course for our party of 3 adults and 2 little ones and we were stuffed by the end. everything was amazing - meats were melt in your mouth, sauces flavorful and sundubu was perfectly spicy. prices are not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. we never visit LA without a stop at genwa!
