Our experience at Gyukaku was excellent! Friendly staff, quick service, and yummy food overall! My husband and I shared a meatlovers and the amount of food was more than enough. We definitely will go back there next time we are in the area.

Great service and lots of great meats! The rewards program is really nice as well. If you are in the mood for Korean bbq don't hesitate to head straight to this restaurant.

Gyu-Kaku is a chain restaurant from Japan. Good selections of meat to BBQ and always a good time to eat with friends and family. Try it, you will enjoy.

just went to Gyu-Kaku for BBQ, and the server named Ryan was really rough. When clearing the plates, he spilled the bloody juices from one plate directly onto the meat we were grilling, then walked away without saying anything. It was incredibly rude.

The lunch deal is really good, especially for the number of options you get. Food is pretty good as well. Loved the toro beef.

Great food. Great ambiance. Service was personable and more than attentive. Our server Zander and Laurice made the meal even better. Helped with suggestions. Absolutely patient with clueless people like us.

I've been coming to this location for years. I'm not sure why the change. This was a very lively, fun, young restaurant. It was quite different a few days ago when I was there. Lots of open seating, very quiet. My double beef bibimpap was very greasy definitely not worth paying for the double beef.

The harami, garlic noodles, kimchi and dumplings were a standout! The toro has great unique flavor, deeply savory and a little sweet, but quite chewy when cooked. The grills were sticky upon first use which made cooking more difficult. Staff was kind and helpful. Would recommend!

It was a great experience! Although we didn't make a reservation (we should have), we had to wait for a table for 2 for about 30 minutes. Luckily they do have tiny bar where we can sit and wait because there's a chance someone cancelling their reservations. We got seated and Timmy was our waiter and he was awesome! He was attentive and friendly. He helped gave us suggestions on how to cook certain things, he made sure we were taken care of. All the meat that came out were amazing! The garlic fried rice was phenomenal that we had to order 2 times! All in all, wonderful experience. They have parking space available although limited, unsure if it's comped or not because we walked.

I normally don’t leave reviews, especially negative ones, but after multiple visits and repeated poor experiences with the same server, I felt compelled to speak up. Gyu-Kaku is one of my favorite spots for a good meal with family or friends, but the service we’ve received from a waitress named Laurice has been consistently disappointing and honestly frustrating.

From the moment we were seated, Laurice seemed disinterested and unapproachable. She carried herself with an attitude that made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. This wasn’t just a one-time issue—we’ve had her as our server before, and each time her demeanor has been the same: cold, rushed, and borderline rude.

What really stood out was how inattentive she was throughout the meal. She never once came by to check on our table, refill drinks, or make sure everything was okay. It felt like we were left to fend for ourselves, and for a place that usually prides itself on good hospitality, this was a letdown.

To make matters worse, during a previous visit, Laurice snatched the menu out of my wife’s hand—an action that was completely uncalled for and incredibly disrespectful. There was no apology or explanation, just a cold look and a walk away. That kind of behavior crosses a line.

On top of all this, we noticed Laurice frequently disappearing into the back—presumably to use her phone—while tables, including ours, were left waiting. Watching a server scroll on their phone while customers sit without service is a huge red flag in terms of professionalism. It gave the impression that she simply didn’t care about her job or the guests she’s being paid to serve.

We’ve had great experiences at Gyu-Kaku in the past, but the service Laurice continues to provide is unacceptable. We come to enjoy ourselves, not to feel ignored or disrespected. Management seriously needs to address this behavior because it reflects poorly on the entire restaurant.

Unfortunately, unless something changes, we’ll be requesting a different server moving forward—or considering other dining options altogether.
