Il Fornaio is always on point and very good. Great food and ambience. The only things that did not measure up was Dessert. Dry Chocolate Cake and the Cheesecake looked like it was Frozen. Not homemade at all. They can make easy in house desserts and improve this part. The Pastas and Salads and Pizzas were great.
If I could give this place ten stars, I would. Despite having visited many restaurants, I find this one to be outstanding. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, and the food is incredibly delicious! I have been here several times, and I truly believe it is worth it!
I've dined here for over 20 years. Consistent Italian cooking, friendly service. Prices are a little high lately. I understand the high cost of food, staff, rent, etc. It used to have a bakery with beautiful breads and such. I am sort of surprised that with a $5 charge for bread at the table that they charge if ask for more. It should be $5 for bread service and a second is complimentary. Also, refills on iced tea, same thing.
