Our waiter was Rudy, and he was first class all the way. Quick to refill our beverages, checking on our meals but not hovering, made us both feel like we were on vacation in Italy. Sublime.
Service was fast and attentive (sat at bar). Had the pappardelle...excellent. creamy, perfect noodles and a hint of lemon for acidity. Wish the chicken was more tender, but minor complaint.
Food, service, and environment were all excellent at Il Fornaio. Jose provided distinctly friendly and professional service — we thoroughly enjoyed his attention and menu guidance. Overall, the standards of service here are excellent: the tables are cleaned between courses, water glasses remained filled, and your needs are anticipated by the team without interruption.
