Delicious!
Honestly one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in Los Angeles. The place is way overpriced for what you get. The food is just okay, nothing special, and definitely not worth the crazy prices they charge.
The service was awful — the ladies working there had cold faces, no smile, no respect, and acted like they were doing us a favor just by serving. Everything took forever — from getting seated to getting food to delivering the bills.
Even the bathroom was dirty, which says a lot about how this place is run. For a restaurant trying to act like a “high-end Japanese spot,” it completely misses the mark.
Feels like a fake luxury restaurant — pretending to be fine dining but without any of the real quality, warmth, or professionalism. Totally not worth it.
Would never come again. Don’t waste money on this place.

The food was okay, but definitely not worth the price. What disappointed me the most was the service — the waitress serving our table had a very poor attitude. Several times during the meal, she either didn’t respond at all or just said “yes” without following up. When we asked for the bill, it took about twenty minutes before she finally brought the payment machine. On top of that, they automatically added a 20% tip, which made the experience feel even less worthwhile. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning.

The service was terrible!! Especially the Japanese old lady was rude.
It is supposed to be a high end restaurant but service is bad. I wouldn’t visit again. It is not worth the price.

Way over priced for the quality of the food. We will never go back. The menu is odd and I found it difficult to find something to order
Irish bearded red head manager was rude and disrespectful after someone inquired about their dietary requirements. Go to the Peninsula Hotel.

I've dined here since 2022! It's my favorite shabu and sukiyaki place in California. Having lived in Tokyo... I can def say it's the closest thing to Japan 🤍 I miss Japan lots so Ima has always welcomed me, my fiends, my mother and past dates with great hospitality and care.
Service was garbage, the tall French guy is the worst. Get the Asian guy if you get the chance. They try to turn shabu info fine dining, but miss completely. You get high quality meat, but there's no flavor in the broth or any of the sauces. Server didnt even bother to explain which meats were what. Spent 300$ for high quality meat with no flavor. The other side of the restaurant is a better move, you'll get to enjoy the wagyu more. Wagyu is better enjoyed cooked on hot stone than boiled in water. There's so many better shabu restaurants at a fraction of the price. Skip this place

Friendly staff, great food as always, great care throughout dinner experience. Great time. Thank you.
Best traditional Japanese sukiyaki with fresh and savory ingredients. Various selections of cold and hot appetizers are included. Great service by the staff members.
Loved this place! Food was amazing and the service was top notch. My girlfriend had some very sensitive food allergies and our server made it a priority to ensure everything was safe for her. Shout out to the team for being so accommodating 🫶

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere, highly recommend. Special shout out to our server the Polish Viking!
The service is very bad for this restaurant at this price range. And the table was very dirty. The server for our table put the spinach drop on the table back to our sukiyaki pot…… and the server came out to ask more tips?
