Absolutely terrible experience. How can they have that DISGUSTING HOST at the door? Not the first time i come for lunch and have a bad time with that person. Extremely unprofessional, extremely rude to my older parents, threatening us about not serving my mother arriving right behind me. Absolute terrible behavior and should not be dealing with people.

Use to be an old favorite. Went back after years very disappointed. Famous chopped salad, insipid. Ravioli all cheese, no lobster or pumpkin, swimming in browned butter, instant coronary, too rich and unpalatable. Pasta with shrimp in thick flavorless sauce. Oh god, need to revamp an old favorite. Hate to see it go out of business which it will.

I’ve been a loyal customer, frequently dining in and ordering take-out, and I’ve always been happy with the food and service. However, today I placed a large lunch order and was very disappointed , all of the salads were soggy and excessively wet, making them unappetizing.
When I called to kindly request a remake, the person I spoke with was surprisingly rude and dismissive, stating, “It’s lettuce, of course it’s going to be wet.” I understand that lettuce needs to be washed, but it should also be properly dried before serving, especially in a restaurant setting.
Unfortunately, the combination of poor food quality and the unprofessional response means we’ll be looking elsewhere for our future orders. It’s disappointing to be treated that way after being a regular customer.

La Scala is a true LA institution for a reason. I’ll definitely be back—and I already know I’m ordering that salad again. Bravo!

Hadn’t been there in a couple of years. Took a friend because this used to be the place for the best chopped salad in town. Now I see why the Brentwood store closed most likely. The flavor is gone. The waiters act annoyed. No one - and I mean NO ONE seems happy to be working there. Spent over $100 and even got a salad to go. When I asked for an extra salad dressing they looked at me like I was insane. Just rude and terrible service all around. Not going back again I’m sorry to say.

We weren’t allowed to be seated until our full party arrived, and when we asked to be seated anyway, the staff threatened not to serve the rest of our group when they got there. Completely unprofessional. The food was also disappointing, definitely not worth the hassle. We won’t be coming back.
La Scala is classic. Their chopped salad is the best in the West. It is the right mixture of ingredients and flavors and always satisfying!!! Love the dressing 💜

The servers all have this high horse attitude. Dingy, saying it's old school because they can't afford to remodel. They are rude as heck! As for a substitute on an item or need more dressing? NEVER will they give ot to you or make you feel like crap and say there doing you a favor. Whattttt!!!!! Staff is a huge problem.
