I visited Layla’s with a friend who’s a regular, and we were warmly greeted by Adam, whose cheerful energy immediately set the tone. His genuine enthusiasm and customer-first approach stood out so much that I initially thought he might be the owner. It’s clear that Adam truly enjoys what he does and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks in.
Beyond the delicious lemonade, cookies, and banana bread, Adam’s service was the real highlight of my visit. He turned a simple stop into an experience worth returning for.

The everything bagel was delicious ordered it with the egg and arugula. But a little bit hard but worth it the taste of it. And the orange juice you need to try it.

Completely lives up to the hype, I got the breakfast sandwich and it was 10/10. Best of all the bagels are made with sourdough. I will definitely be coming back!

Too crowded, good but expensive
Very good place to have “fancy” bagels. I loved mine with the toppings but bagel itself was more on the ok side. Def not as good as courage bagels but close enough. Match with cream top was good but latte was just ok. And of course the line on a Saturday is crazy so I recommend order take out and just come get the food.

We were in a hurry and just stopped by for a quick snack. The atmosphere, friendly workers, delicious food - everything was great. We'll be back to try more bagel sandwiches!
Great bagels as usual, but parking situation is not so great. Service was okay, and didn't take that long. I would say it's a great place to take your guests visiting LA for the first time, because outside is a tourity place.

I must have been to Layla Bagels at least 100 times in the past couple years. It used to be exceptional - easily one of the best bagel spots in the city.
However, lately, the quality has noticeably dropped. The Maldon salt flakes? Gone, replaced with basic salt. The heirloom tomatoes in the Scarlett? Replaced with watery, bland ones that taste more like low-end grocery store produce. The bagels are smaller, the toppings less generous, and the overall experience just feels... diminished.
I get that running a food business is tough right now, but please - raise your prices if needed rather than cutting corners on quality. I would happily pay more for the exceptional quality and consistency you once delivered.
Sadly, many of the friendly faces that used to be behind the counter have moved on too.
I'm taking a break for a few months, but really hope Layla finds their way back to what made them special!
Too expensive for what it is. The Bagle is too hard and chewy. Toppings are to little.

Layla’s Bagels is an absolute must if you’re in the area. The heirloom tomatoes were insane, genuinely the best I’ve had. Everything’s spot on. The bagel toppings are gorgeous. I wish I could eat here every day. Still dreaming about those tomatoes.

Layla’s always hits. Their bagels themselves are delicious, but their sandwiches are even better. They use fresh ingredients & it shows. I alternate between getting the b.a.t with scallion cream cheese or the spicy b.e.c. Both are delicious. If parking were less of a nightmare, I’d come more often.

Food mod — the bagel is impossible to chew on
Service — aloof, passive aggressive, dismissive
Atmosphere — dirty, LOUUUD, full of obnoxious people, mainly mannerless teens
Will never return

Meh. Tough bagels. Not impressed. I also made the mistake of trying the black sesame matcha, which is super sweet (they can't make it unsweetened, so be warned if you dont like sugar bomb drinks). The decor is cute and the shop is clean. The staff is nice.

Cute aesthetic and innovative bagel shop. But the bagels themselves are not great - you can get much better bagels at more traditional spots. I’m not sure why, but I didn’t enjoy my closed-face egg sandwich at all. I think it’s because I didn’t like how the egg patty was cooked. I’m sure their open-faced sandwiches are better. Their matcha latte is delicious, but the cup sizes are way too small and 80% of the drink is ice anyway - so it’s only like 5 sips. Very overpriced and unimpressive spot.
