Lost regular local customers over a $1 water bottle. After spending nearly $60 on two bland sandwiches (including a generous tip), Ms. Lorenzo refused to replace the small water my mom dropped as soon as we sat down due to the tiny tables. An employee even shouted from the back, “Water costs money too.”

Most restaurants would gladly replace something accidentally dropped, especially when tipped well. Instead, she accused me of not tipping, then reluctantly returned it when I asked (with attitude).

Hope the water was worth it. You’ve lost loyal customers and any positive word of mouth. Ms. Lorenzo should focus less on penny-pinching and more on how to treat locals if she plans to stay in business.

Edit: Ms. Lorenzo’s public Yelp reply speaks for itself. I don’t need to lie — the tip was 15%, which someone that focused on counting pennies should already know. Even 10% would’ve been generous for the service we received.

All we said was: “Can we have another water?” and “I’d like my tip back, thank you.” No raised voices, no disrespect, but her public response was full of sarcasm and name-calling, which only confirms the attitude we experienced.

P.S. The sandwiches were half-eaten, taken home, and tossed — feel free to check your cameras. And the only reason we know she’s the owner is because she told us last time. Just remember this moment when you’re wondering why regulars stop coming back. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Today was the first time my friend and I tried Lorenzo's. We tried two sandwiches (in order of yumminess):

1. Rafaello (Mortadella, stracciatella cheese, fig jam, crispy onions, pepperoncini = 😍)
2. Cotto (Prosciutto Cotto, truffle cream, brie cheese, lemon zest, truffle oil, black pepper)

The freshness and moistness of the bread is quite amazing!

Cynthia took our order over the phone and her vibe was just so grounding and warm. Felt like calling a friend. Do check their food out!!

I visited for the first time last weekend after seeing it on IG. The smell is intoxicating when you walk in. My mouth was wandering immediately after opening the entrance door. The service was fantastic. Super friendly. I ordered the Toscano sandwich and took it to go which was smart because I ravaged that sandwich like a wolverine devouring its meal. 10/10. I look forward to going back because I've been dreaming about that sandwich ever since.

Of all the gourmet sandwich shops opening up all over Los Angeles, Lorenzo’s is by far the best of the best. All the sandwiches are outstanding. The next item to try is their truffle pasta.

Walked in late afternoon on a weekend and had no wait, also was able to get a table inside but not outside. Anyway, this was a really fantastic sandwich and if you are someone that likes sandwiches it will really hit the spot for you.

The definition of over hyped. The food influencers that vouch for this place should lose credibility. They charged me an arm and a leg for a substitution to somthing that cost less on their menu. Imagine getting charged 10 to have bacon taken off your burger for more lettuce. Garbage

Came in here yesterday with my partner and everything was amazing, the service was quick, there were MANY options from sandwiches (my personal recommendation), salads, and even pasta and it’s all great, don’t even get me started on how sweet the staff are, I was having trouble closing my box and a very kind woman who was restocking drinks helped me, very nice people!! ❤️❤️ thank you!

Amazing sandwiches. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients. Will definitely try again

One of their catering drivers nearly caused an accident in a nearby public parking lot yet and acted like it was everyone else’s fault despite the fact that he parked his van on a bad angle like an absolute amateur. Would not hire again based on the hostilities alone. Some guy with black-framed glasses.
