I ordered a latte with almond milk at Maru and asked to add their cream. The baristaās rude āNo, you cannotā left me embarrassed and disappointed. I would have paid extra, but the dismissive service means I wonāt be returning. Very bad costumer service.

Amazing coffee, very different from most other coffeeshops. We wanted to try it a couple times but the line was insane. When we finally tried it I was like, okay, that was definitely worth the wait :)

Coffee was so terrible. Maybe i had a bad barista but it was literally straight milk. Line was so long i didnāt want to go back for them to make it again. Would not wait in any line for this stuff. Really disappointed.

Maru Beverly Hills has the worst customer service Iāve experienced. The girl who took my order was lovely, but the manager (Asian guy) was unbelievably rude, entitled, and acted like heās some big deal just for running a coffee shop. News flash: youāre not curing cancer. The ego was out of control and completely ruined the visit. The Silver Lake Maru is way better, staff there are actually friendly and welcoming
The Cream Top was not that great either and it was overly sweetened
I get the niche aspect of this place but don't really see the hype. I guess because it's LA's hotter new things that is almost up there with Erwhon hype š¤·š»āāļø

I love the coffee here, itās very strong and bitter to my liking adding on the sweet cream itās such a balance and felt like having a dessert, I finished my cream top coffee in 5mins and ordered another right away.
The cafe is very small so thereās no space for sitting but thereās a public park in 2mins walk with plenty of seats.
However the staff is kind of rude and arrogant when she asked the customers to queue outside when the line is long, itās understandable that the space is small but the tone and attitude can be really much better, at the end of the day the customers are who give you sales

I got the vanilla bean latte and it was tasty even though my coffee was a bit sweeter than Iād have liked. Atmosphere is minimalistic, queues are long, but the wait is worth it.
