The Penthouse at Mastro's

The meal was very good. There was a violinist who was very entertaining and talented on the violin. They usually have a piano player, but this time it was a violinist. We were celebrating a birthday at our table, and the staff acknowledged it, which made it special. The meatball appetizer is very good. The wagyu steak was delicious ! And as always, their salads are delicious too. Thank you Mastro's!

The only reason I wasn't able to award 5 Stars across the board was because, in spite of what we Northern California Types have heard, it does rain in Southern California, so with the vinyl shades lowered the ambience took a hit. That said, the food the wine list and the service were all excellent.

Had an amazing experience. Slightly issue with one dish but the staff corrected it above and beyond.

The quality of food at Mastro's is definitely top-notch — especially the steaks, which were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great, and I really enjoyed the live music; the violinist added a classy touch to the evening. The only area for improvement would be the cocktails. For a place of this caliber, I'd expect drinks to be a bit more complex and refined. One of our cocktails even came with a lime slice that had brown spots, which felt off for a $20–$24 drink. Overall though, it's a good spot.

Our server Allison left mid meal didn't tell us she was leaving. We had to wave down a waiter to get some service and then we had to chase somebody down to clean our table and get the bill.  I love Metro. I've been to everyone in your location is more than once huge fan, but Service has been going downhill and the one in San Jose now even the penthouse, very disappointing.

One Word, AMAZING!!!!!!!! The entire experience at Mastro's Beverly Hills was absolutely GREAT! A must try.

We were disappointed with the food this time. They changed the bread order and also the chicken has changed, I guess a new chef? We were accommodated with a complementary dinner when we were dissatisfied with the chicken ( they changed the preparation), having sent it back and then replaced with the Ahi which was so so as well. Otherwise, a very pleasant setting.

This location was amazing our server was terrific. They knew we were there for an engagement celebration, and they truly did everything to make the occasion special. I highly recommend for an engagement dinner!

Food was good but, I had to wait 30 mins for someone to bring me a menu. Another 20 mins for someone to take my order and 35 mins for my food to arrive. I don’t mind waiting for food but, I was expecting faster service with taking orders. I rather go to Joey’s they treat me there better and the food is way more delicious.

Top tier as always! The server was super helpful and kind and the food was amazing. The electric violin was also a nice touch to our evening.

Exceptional overall...the rooftop experience is worthwhile. Great service and food and they celebrated our anniversary. I thought cost more than reasonable for what we received. Love the place, will return

Thank you for a good overall time with great steak in an elegant environment. I hope the piano music comes back some time soon.

Overall very disappointed in our experience for what was meant to be a special night. Food quality and service were both below expectations.

Very very good experience! Food and drinks were amazing and the service was great as well. Seating was a little close together but it’s a must try.
