We were recently in L.A. and booked the Original Farmers' Market tour thanks to a recommendation from a friend—what an excellent recommendation it was! Our tour guide, Wendy, was personable, knowledgeable, and lots of fun! All of the food we sampled was delicious and it was wonderful to be able to connect with some of the vendors thanks to Wendy's introductions. We didn't end up exploring much after the tour, which I would say was a miss on our part. If you're a foodie, I'd definitely allocate more time to explore the shops as the tour went by quite quickly. 10/10 would recommend!
Excellent tour of the LA farmers market! Kerry, Wendy, and Lenore were all excellent, I would recommend to anyone!
Went on the Old Pasadena tour with Shelley as our host. She was wonderful! As a local, she knew all the nook and crannies to go through and was able to tell us a bit of history about some places we visited while also taking us to some local favorites. Turned out that my partner and I were the only ones on the tour that day so we essentially got a private tour - which was awesome! I definitely would book a Melting Pot Food Tour again in the future!
Owners are engaging, proud and invested. We got a little bit of history and a sense of the family while everyone in our party took photos with the owner
This was a fantastic food tour! Jody was amazing. It ended up being just the two of us. I felt like I was walking with a friend! My first trip to California and of course it rained but we still had a blast. Loved all the food stops and the history lesson. Highly recommend!
Have attended a few tours with this company. I even repeated one! Had fun every time. It's great to sample from multiple vendors in this way. Otherwise, you get stuffed from just a couple and aren't sure how good what the rest of the businesses have to offer is. It's a good blend of covering lots of bases, but allowing time at selected spots. Great method to get acquainted with these spots. Add in the history angle, and it's fun for your brain as well as your belly!
Went on the farmers market tour and it far surpassed expectations. Every time I thought a tasting was the finale, there were multiple more stalls to stop by. I had no idea the history of the market and it's stalls, and the wonderful tour guide gave me an appreciation that I definitely would not have had if I had just gone to the market on my own.

We both thought our tour guide, Therese was awesome. My only regret is that i was too busy to take Melting Pot Food Tours.
I've done 3 tours (so far). The latest was the LA Farmer's Market, and it was a typical example. The guides that they use are all great fun. Yes they know their subject very well, but they also know how to explain things in an entertaining manner. The whole party learned a lot about the history of the overall market, as well as the stalls that we visited and some that we didn't.

Friendly knowledgeable tour loved it!!
Had the best tour of the original Farmer’s market in LA. Andrew was interesting, entertaining and the food was outstanding. Great way to sample the food and learn the history of the market.
Wow! What a great experience. Lots of fun and very educational too.
We loved our food tour of the Original Farmer’s Market! Andrew was our guide and he was OUTSTANDING. We appreciated the variety and quality of food, and enjoyed learning the history of the farmer’s market and LA in general. It was also fun hearing stories and history of some of the vendors who have been there for generations. Did I mention the food?! It exceeded our expectations and I can confidently recommend Melting Pot Food Tours!
This was such a fun tour. Although I grew up in Pasadena, I still learned many new things about the history of Pasadena. We made 8 stops and each spot was a unique, family owned business with excellent food. The portions were hearty, and Barbara was a fun and very knowledgeable tour guide. I absolutely recmmend this tour.
