Owners are engaging, proud and invested. We got a little bit of history and a sense of the family while everyone in our party took photos with the owner

The best experience for any foodie you know! My friend Jody gifted me one of her MeltingPotFoodTours featuring the Latin flavors of Boyle Heights in East LA and it was the best day ever. Our tour guide was her brother Kerry Flowers one of the funniest people I know, only one of several tour guides. Kerry led us on a historical tour of the neighborhood starting at Mariachi Plaza before we stopped for handmade tastings at 8 of the local family eateries including Birrieria Don Boni. We were happy to get our steps in smelling the aroma of too much great food. We stopped at a marketplace to try spices, and delicacies and shop for souvenirs while listening to live performances. The day ended with a slice of Tres Leches cake and churros. Thank goodness the walk was 3 1/2 hours having stopped at 8 tasting spots to indulge ourselves. I love living in LA and made a promise to myself to enjoy as many neighborhoods and events as the city has to offer instead of waiting for visitors to come to town. Our tour group was ridiculously fun and we all became fast friends. There are tours of the Original Farmers Market, Old Pasadena, East Village Long Beach, Thai Town, and soon a Little Tokyo tour! You can curate a private group tour for friends from small to large groups, or purchase gift certificates. My goal is to accomplish all the tours in 2024!

What an awesome day celebrating my friends birthday with Gretchen who took us on a tour of Old Town Pasadena! The town is full of history I was unaware of. Gretchen is friendly, knowledgeable, and provided us with a variety of ethic cuisines. We had such a fun experience and some of the foods we tasted were the best I have had. Thank you! Will definitely recommend to friends!

This was a fantastic food tour! Jody was amazing. It ended up being just the two of us. I felt like I was walking with a friend! My first trip to California and of course it rained but we still had a blast. Loved all the food stops and the history lesson. Highly recommend!

My wife and two daughters had an amazing experience touring Old Town Pasadena. Gretchen is a wonderful, entertaining tour guide combining historical knowledge with lots of fun local trivia and places to grab treats of nearly any variety. Highly recommended - will definitely book them again!

My wife and I just took the Old Pasedena Tour. It was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Gretchen was great. She shared a lot of enteresting facts about Pasadena and the places we stopped at. There was never a dull moment. We will definitely revisit some of the places we ate at. Thank you so much Gretchen.

Have attended a few tours with this company. I even repeated one! Had fun every time. It's great to sample from multiple vendors in this way. Otherwise, you get stuffed from just a couple and aren't sure how good what the rest of the businesses have to offer is. It's a good blend of covering lots of bases, but allowing time at selected spots. Great method to get acquainted with these spots. Add in the history angle, and it's fun for your brain as well as your belly!

I had a wonderful experience on the East LA Latin Flavors Food & Culture Tour. I live in LA and what a great way to enjoy a day discovering a part of town I was not familiar with while enjoying the food tastings at well selected spots. Our guide Lurdes was excellent and very knowledgeable. Whether you are local or a tourist I highly recommend this tour.

Went on the farmers market tour and it far surpassed expectations. Every time I thought a tasting was the finale, there were multiple more stalls to stop by. I had no idea the history of the market and it's stalls, and the wonderful tour guide gave me an appreciation that I definitely would not have had if I had just gone to the market on my own.

We both thought our tour guide, Therese was awesome. My only regret is that i was too busy to take Melting Pot Food Tours.

I've done 3 tours (so far). The latest was the LA Farmer's Market, and it was a typical example. The guides that they use are all great fun. Yes they know their subject very well, but they also know how to explain things in an entertaining manner. The whole party learned a lot about the history of the overall market, as well as the stalls that we visited and some that we didn't.

Had the best tour of the original Farmer’s market in LA. Andrew was interesting, entertaining and the food was outstanding. Great way to sample the food and learn the history of the market.

We loved our food tour of the Original Farmer’s Market! Andrew was our guide and he was OUTSTANDING. We appreciated the variety and quality of food, and enjoyed learning the history of the farmer’s market and LA in general. It was also fun hearing stories and history of some of the vendors who have been there for generations. Did I mention the food?! It exceeded our expectations and I can confidently recommend Melting Pot Food Tours!
