very apaulled by my last visit!!! if you are thinking of eating here and you are more upscale please do not come in a black truck by yourself or pull up in any foreign expensive car or look or be young doing it cause they will see you && theyll definitely have something for you when you get inside!!! food is still good

Came in for work dinner. They placed us in a nice conference room. They had multiple of these. The food came in on time and tasted good. Mine was cold at first but they warmed it up, which is understandable when you have 20steaks to make. The filet was tasty and so were the calamari appetizers and bread. Would return again for next event.

Server was amazing !! Came in to celebrate a dear friends birthday who committed suicide . Our server was so kind and thoughtful. Food was fantastic . We got treated so well and loved how accommodating they were to our reservation. Really a special night . Thank you ocean prime ! Caviar truffle eggs were the best , dynamite roll, steaks and wedge salad ! Everything is so yummy !!

Maybe I just came on a bad night? I came to Ocean Prime to celebrate my birthday because of all the good reviews. There were some things we liked, some things we didn't liked. The ambiance inside is nice, you feel like you're at a fancy place. They have a great drink menu! My wife ordered the viral "Berries & Bubbles" and she enjoyed it. I ordered the Lobster Bisque & Tuna Tartare which were really good as well! But my wife ordered the French Onion Soup and it was really salty and it wasn't even hot when it arrived. For the main courses, we ordered the Salmon Teriyaki & 16oz Ribeye, along with the Chophouse Corn & Lobster Mashed Potatoes. Everything was delicious except my steak! Again, for some reason it was salty :( Great service but there must've been a miscommunication because they gave my birthday cake to my wife! haha not a big deal, we all laughed about it but when you choose an expensive steakhouse for your birthday, you'd think they get that right. After coming to Ocean Prime, I think I prefer Larsen's Steakhouse more. Nice place, nice vibe, I gave 3 stars because they messed up my steak & gave my birthday cake to my wife lol

This place is amazing! Have had lunch a couple of times here for work. The lobster mac and cheese is a must have, the shrimp cocktail is also good but my favorite thing is the filet mignon steak and the pb chocolate pie. This place is and staff is amazing. Food flies out of the kitchen and i love how clean they keep everything and the enormous seating area they have indoors and closed out door too.

The food was terrible. There were 9 of us and the only dish that was right was chicken. I was served raw scallops, a small lobster tail that was over salted to the point where it wasn’t edible and crusted lamb chops that were soo over cooked, it was like chewing bark. My bday dinner was totally disappointing!To add I was violently ill the next day from food poisoning.

The food was passable but the service from our waiter Sonny was atrocious. He kept interrupting our conversation with his person questions, messed up or order, and served the wrong items. We expected much better service than this from a restaurant of this caliber.
I've been here a few times since my last review and serving, and the food is still just as great! Let's start with the essential aspect: the customer was top-notch, from the hostess team to our server and the busboy Parker and Brady, who were very kind and gave great recommendations. They have a lunch special, but I did a La carte items since I've always come for dinner. Let's start off with the bread. It was so good. Seriously top 5 of the best bread in LA. My friend and I tried a few sushi dishes; the Negiri was terrific, and the sushi had caviar. The surf and turf are a must, and the teriyaki salmon, both 10/10! My favorite cocktail, the berries, and bubbles, also have an excellent presentation but taste good! I came on a sunny day. You can sit inside or outside; they have plenty of tables with shade if you're coming on a hot day. The manager, Yuri, also stopped by the tables to check on us. For dessert, I highly recommend trying the layered carrot cake. Writing this review, I'm craving it! Plan to be back soon!

Absolutely taken away by this restaurant. From the minute we were scheduled in for a reservation to the second we left the door, Ocean Prime exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend scheduled our 6 year anniversary dinner here last minute and we were squeezed in same day with such grace. We were welcomed and treated like royalty from the minute we sat down. Sean, our server, hands down gave the best service we've ever experienced. His knowledge of everything on the menu was impressive alongside 10/10 recommendations. From cocktails, ahi tuna, Branzino and buttery salmon, every single dish was phenomenal. Not too mention the yummiest surprise anniversary desert Sean brought out that almost had me in tears. It made the entire experience very special and I'll never forget it. Ocean Prime is now one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles and I'll most certainly be back!
