Avva Coffee Beverly Hills

I’ve visited Avva Coffee twice now, and I have to say, their coffee has been consistently great both times. I tried their latte on my first visit, and it was smooth and well-balanced—definitely a highlight. This time around, I also grabbed a slice of their blueberry cake. The cake was very good, with a nice flavor, though not the absolute best I’ve ever had.

In the immediate area, I’d say Avva Coffee takes the crown for the best coffee, but it doesn’t quite top the best I’ve had elsewhere. Still, it’s a solid spot with a lot to offer, and I’d for sure come back if I’m in the area again!

Rather small coffee menu with minimal choices. But excellent coffee, with great flavor, and satisfies. Inside seating and a few small tables outside.

No wifi and no bathroom. Good OJ though!

Their online menu is out of date. The staff is very accommodating. Good espresso, slightly sweet. I had them custom make an espresso con panna. Latte was nice.

They tuned all the outlets off so people don’t come here for work FYI. I did not know until I paid for parking, spent money on a coffee and realized non of the outlets work 😤

Not the place it used to be. They did deliberately cut off power and Wi-Fi. They could have put a sign for a time limit if they don’t want people sitting there for long. It’s a shame, this used to be a better place. Guess what it’s empty during late morning to mid evening.

Terrible Customer Service, Unwelcoming Staff

I visited this coffee place with a group of seven people. We spent over $80 on coffees and pastries, looking forward to enjoying our morning together. The outdoor seating was nice, so we decided to sit outside. However, the experience was ruined by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff.

From the moment we walked in, the workers didn’t greet us or even smile. When I went inside to ask for some hot water to add to my coffee, the employee who served me was incredibly rude and made me feel uncomfortable with his attitude. He handed me the hot water like I was inconveniencing him, which is unacceptable in a place that’s supposed to be welcoming.

While we were sitting outside, the staff kept looking at us and talking among themselves, making us feel judged and unwelcome. I decided to speak to the manager about this, and when I went in to ask for a to-go box for our leftover pastries, she greeted me with a blank, unfriendly expression. She didn’t even try to smile or acknowledge my concerns. Instead, she handed me the box like I was asking for too much. Another male worker next to her gave me a dirty look the entire time, which only added to the uncomfortable atmosphere.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had at a coffee shop. My entire group felt the negative energy and agreed that we would never come back here again. Coffee shops are supposed to be a place to relax and enjoy your time, but the staff here acted like we were a burden. If you’re looking for a friendly and welcoming place, this is definitely not it. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

The coffee and pastries were delicious, sad to have discovered this location on my last day before I fly back home to Chicago. Our barista, Val, was very helpful and made the experience so much better. Would come again next time I’m in LA.

No wifi. No power on the plugs as of July 2024. Don't work here. Just a place to sit and enjoy a coffee. (Which is the best way to enjoy a coffee shop.) The coffee was good. Pastry was good.

Today I saw several flies on the products that are out in the open and I told your staff and they didn't give it any importance, they told me that it was normal because they came in. And it is normal for flies to come in, okay, but it is not normal for them to be on the food that is sold to the public. Please, flies transmit many bacteria. And yet, they wanted to give me the same sandwich where I saw the flies. The flies walked all over the food that is sold to the public.
