We tried the pear matcha and the mango sticky rice tea. The pear matcha did not taste like pear but it was good nonetheless. The mango tea was disappointing, they must’ve forgot the sticky rice.

Matcha cream top was delicious but on the sweeter and thicker side - almost like a milkshake. Cold brew was mediocre

Too crowded. Full of plastic people. Stressful experience won’t be back.

Overall, a good place. The only feedback I have is that sometimes staff is too talkative, to where it feels they’re taking too long to make orders. But the pistachio and almost croissants are soo good. The coffees are great and at least the staff is friendly.

I didn’t really like the black tea cream top. It reminded me of houjicha and I really dislike houjicha. Regardless of that, the lady who took my order was super sweet and let me get a refund and switch it for something else. I ended up getting the dalgona latte and it was much better! Great service :)
Genuinely one of the best matchas in LA, very high quality very green and I love that they make their own lavender syrup

Unfortunately, we didn’t like the drink as it was very ordinary. We politely asked if it could be replaced with a simple iced drink, but they refused. The cashier wearing a green hoodie was quite , which made the experience even worse.
I love this place they have incredible coffee and great baristas. I recommend this place to everyone

I’ve been to Series A a handful of times and unfortunately the last visit of mine left me extremely disappointed. I ordered a sweet top matcha and received the most clumpy matcha I’ve ever tasted in my life that was also missing the sweet foam on top. When you’re paying $9.50 for a drink that comes in a small cup getting a clumpy drink is just not acceptable. The staff and atmosphere are very lovely, but the price is not reasonable for the quality not being consistent.

Great coffee and I mean across the board. I’ve had it iced and hot, and both were solid. No gimmicks, no weird aftertaste, just good beans done right.

This is a cute little place and I had an absolutely wonderful chai latte from baristas who are just very very nice.

Series A Coffee is a place you want to love, and it comes very close. The coffee itself is genuinely good. Espresso drinks are well pulled, milk is textured properly, and the flavors are balanced rather than over roasted or overly sweet. You can tell there is real care put into the drinks, which already puts it ahead of many neighborhood spots. This is not a coffee problem at all. The product delivers.
The people are another strong point. Service is friendly, warm, and human. Staff members are welcoming, patient, and clearly trying their best. There is a neighborhood feel here that makes you want to come back, even if things are a little chaotic. You never feel rushed or dismissed, and that counts for a lot.
Where Series A falls short of five stars is execution and environment. The space feels disorganized and a bit cluttered. The interior could benefit from a serious cleanup, better layout, and a clearer system behind the counter. During busy times, ordering and fulfillment feel improvised rather than dialed in. It works, but it is not smooth. Cleanliness and visual cohesion could also be improved, as the space does not reflect the quality of the coffee being served.
This place has real upside. With an interior refresh, better flow, and tighter systems, Series A Coffee could easily be a standout. As it is today, it earns a solid four stars for excellent drinks and genuinely friendly service, just held back by the need for better organization and polish.

Had one hour for a break between work appointments. The cold brew was great. This was in the afternoon so food options were limited but I got a cream cheese stuffed croissant with everything seasoning. It was as advertised.
It was bustling but not loud and with plenty of seating.
Pro tip: do not try to sit on the high barstools. You will simply tip them over and fall off.
