A great dining experience from drinks to dessert. The food, the service, the space. The best the city had to offer.

Wow. Exceptional food and so much fun. Easy to get to, since it is on a cul-de-sac. The staff was engaging; we were well attended to and were also left alone for long enough periods so we could enjoy our own company. Specialty drinks were delicious. The stuffed squash blossoms (with lobster) were out of this world. Our waiter, Tim, could not have been better. All in all, I highly recommend Spago. They have done something exceptional...remaining relevant, inventive and, subsequently, long lived.

Had an amazing time. The drinks were nice and strong, food was fantastic and the service none like I've ever had -honestly! Every time our drink was low we were offered one right away or when we had a question about something someone came to the table right away. And the best part of the night - meeting the one and only Wolfgang Puck. He was a delight to speak to and so down to earth, it's awesome that he comes out to meet his patrons. I will definitely be back!

Spago is -the- Beverly Hills institution. The food is exquisite, the ambiance upscale yet warm, and I enjoy every little thoughtful detail Spago puts into their restaurant for their patrons.

Great place to celebrate an event....or be very rich and go every night. The bread was great as was the presentation. Loved my veal cutlet and the lady I was with loved her chicken dish. Service was very good. Nice of them to serve a fee dessert to celebrate a birthday. Expensive, but worth it as so many pricey restaurants do not live up to their reputation.

Service was slow to start and then was excellent. The price of everything was absurd for the quality of food and portions. We had the discovery menu. The main entree was a small piece of smoked pork loin which tasted like a hot dog. I'll stick with Robuchon restaurants for my menu decouvert.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Spago Beverly Hills

XO Handsome

Located at the heart of downtown Los Angeles, Spago Beverly Hills is a popular restaurant found by Wolfgang Puck. The Christmas decorations are very festive. While the bar and main dining room areas look hip and chic, the private room with a high ceiling has a classy tone. However, hygiene appears to be a big concern, perhaps the main reason for the Michelin stars to be plucked away! Washrooms are filthy to say the least, and coffee cups on the newly set dining table are not properly cleaned (shown on one of the photos attached). Jason, the manager taking care of the private party, is very friendly and accommodating. Sadly, the so-called California cuisine is unimpressive, and the high price is not justified at all! The signature Smoked Salmon Pizza’s crust is not crispy enough, and the salmon roes are very fishy. The Hiramasa Sashimi (US$ 38) is overpowered by the ginger seasoning. The Blue Fin Tuna (US$ 46) actually tastes quite fresh by itself, but is unfortunately ruined by the addition of the chewy seaweed that has a strange smell. Highlight of the dinner is the rich but fluffy Dark Chocolate Soufflé (US$ 28).

I haven’t written a review in years but really wanted to say how wonderful my experience was at Spago last night. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. I don’t dine out as I have a very sensitive stomach but had no problem at all with my meal last night which is saying a lot. The most noteable part of the evening was talking with Ms. Lazeroff, one of the owners or the owner of Spago. What a lovely woman. So gracious, welcoming and warm. My dinner companion was going through a difficult situation and Ms. Lazeroff spent a significant amount of time talking with us and guiding my fiiend on “next steps” to finding resolution to her problem. I can see why her restaurant is still so successful all these years later and with so much competition, the restaurant was packed, buzzing and alive. I love it. That’s how it should be.

Dietary restrictions: I didn’t want any salt on my meal, and wanted to add the parmesan cheese, myself. My dinner companion has a sensitivity to caffeine and couldn’t have caffeinated coffee, so they prepared a decaf and made sure it was decaf.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant didn’t have stairs if my memory is correct. Flat from parking to the entrance and all the way through.

Is this the best restaurant inthe Los Angeles metropolitan region? I'm not sure, but I would easily put it in the top 100. A must visit for everyone. The food is outstanding, the drinks excellent, the service is fantastic, and the location is second to none. Order the wienersnitzle! Great place! Highly recommended!

Still highly recommended!
