We ordered the omakase, of course, and I can honestly say this was the best sushi I've ever had. Little subtle things take fantastic fish and elevating it to art -- perfect warm rice, little flavor touches and seasonings -- wow. And the fish quality is amazing -- each piece like butter. The service was great also -- attentive, fast, friendly. The interior is simple, not fancy, and relatively quiet, which was just what our group of 5 wanted. This amazing sushi is not inexpensive -- $$$$ -- but it is 100% worth it. Thanks Sasabune.
Sasabune is my go to sushi restaurant. The sushi is outstanding, far superior to other sushi restaurants I have frequented.
The decor is a bit spare, and it is located in a strip mall, right next to a Domino’s Pizza. But don’t let appearances fool you.

Sasabune is our go to sushi and Japanese restaurant. Sushi is always so fresh and flavorful. My husband loves the deep fried soft shell crab. I generally order an assortment of sushi.
The temperature of the rice is never right in this place. It is always warmer than it should be and takes away from the taste. Same goes for fish temp.
Very expensive restaurant.

This was always our go to place, but it seemed to have deteriorated during Covid. But the greatness is back and it's now once again our favorite Omakase in LA.
Just did a pickup order. Spent $70. Got 3 rolls. 3 orders of sushi. 2 miso soups. They wouldn’t give me more than one ponzu and one spicy mayo.
The Japanese Omakase menu was insane!! My fiancé and I loved every dish that was expertly prepared right in front of us. Definitely will be making our way back next month because it is a little pricey but worth it.
The omakase here is next level and so delicious. It's a journey from start to finish seasonal and fresh. I have been a fan for over 20 years in LA.
Really enjoyed their omakase! I couldn’t believe how much they gave, I was very satisfied and the fish was so fresh. The restaurant was casual but also nice and welcoming.

Went here for a birthday dinner in 2022 and got the Japanese omakase course for $170pp at table service. Was not a great experience at all, service just dropped off the pieces as chef made it without explanation sometimes and the pieces sometimes lacked flavor/tasted still frozenGo somewhere else and have your money better spent

Best sushi in LA but a tad bit overpriced. We paid $250 plus 20% top for 2 of us. We ordered the set course which was around $110 each and one glass of Sake. The food was amazing. Service was great. This was our second time with my wife for date night.
One of the best sushi restaurants in Los Angeles, which makes it one of the best in America. The chefs are true artists of their craft and it is a pleasure to watch them as they create each masterpiece.
