Saw a sign at their Melrose location about a “famous berry cake”. Walked by the BH location and decided to try it. I see why it is famous! Insanely good!! A must try!

The slice of cake was awful. Still frozen, wet crumb that felt like icy grainy mush and tasted of nothing.
The vibe felt like a clinic and the only saving grace was the sunlight and the staff that were polite and so pleasant.

I have loved Sweet lady Jane and their triple berry cake for years, but the quality has gone down so much in the last year. This was my first time buying the cake at the Beverly Hills location, I got three slices of the cake and they were dry and the cake was cracking when I opened the box. This cake wasn’t fresh at all. The Berry Chantilly cake from wholefoods seems like a better option after tasting this. I really hope Sweet Lady Jane goes back to their former standards.

I guess we are in the middle of a depression…? I got a $77 carrot cake today that was literally half the size of the cake I got from them for the same amount less than two years ago. It’s listed as 6”and I took a chance. When I sliced it I ended up with this depressingly tiny piece. If you want an actual cake here, you now need to drop at lease $100 for 9”. ??♀️
Before COVID-19 the cakes/desserts were fine. I didn’t like everything but I didn’t have a problem being a repeat customer. The Melrose Ave location was always very busy and cramp so I was happy when it expanded to other locations. I definitely loved the turkey sandwich on sourdough and provolone cheese.COVID-19 happened or even slightly before COVID-19. The bakery dropped a lot of its standard cakes it had for years and I was left with 1 cake that I liked. Menu items were eliminated for the most part during COVID. Now coming out of COVID any food items that were available are now gone. Bakery no longer takes cash. Most of the employees have been fired.I don’t know how this bakery continues to exist. It was losing business long before COVID (as I bought some of its cakes in markets in high end/good neighborhoods but that stopped) but now things seem to have gone to poop and I have no clue why there still like 5 to 6 locations. Customers don’t seem to be visiting anymore and the bakery only got more obnoxious about prices.

I am a regular client, and my experience today at the Beverly Hills location was unsatisfactory and very deplorable.I always buy a slice of cake here, and the slice they gave me today is so small that it looked like leftovers. When I came back to have a good cut, they told me that from now on that will be the size of the slices of cake.It was literally just the creamthe cakes have a thick layer of chantilly cream and the slice they gave me was literally just cream chantillyRudeness, I will never return to this place. I don't think they even care about losing a client. Well, I think so.

I tried to change the color frosting from pink and cream to just cream on an order 48 hours away. I was told it would "impact" the kitchens schedule and it was not possible. When I asked if the cake was already made I got some hesitation and was told no but kitchen has a schedule.. I know it is just dye color and would not impact the schedule. super disappointed would not recommend

Amazing! My daughter is at UCLA for summer and I wanted to surprise her and send her a birthday cake - Barbie related and you delivered! Delicious and so cute - also was very reasonably priced! ??? It made her day and that was the goal! Thank you! Will be ordering soon and will def be in when we get to town! Huge thank you!
