Really nice bar, nicely appointed, creative and excellent cocktail collection. It is a bit small and a bit noisy, but if you can get a seat, it is definitely worth trying out.

I really like their concept and artfully designed menu. This place is a must for those who enjoy trying high end and unique specialty cocktails in a small upscale atmosphere. Cons: price is high but I get quality. They used to open at 3 but now don’t open until 5 so I can’t go randomly anymore ?

My husband, myself and some friends came here for the first time on a Saturday night before heading to dinner (Christmas weekend), around 5:30. The bar is immediately located to your left as soon as you walk thru the front door of the hotel. Right off the bat, you notice how quaint and chic the bar is! The Maybourne has a few seats at the bar and the rest are 2-4 seater tables. 5/5: Service was perfection! The waiter quickly provided water and a nut mix for the table. The staff was also very kind enough to take a few pictures for us as well! 4/5: The drinks were quite good! The menu is unique as well, something for everyone; and they even manually hand stamp your ice cube with the Maybourne logo! *SKYFALL Botanical. Floral. Crisp. $25...Grey Goose * Botanist Gin * Lillet Blanc... My husband loved his drink and normally doesn't go for drinks that have Gin in them. *CROUCHING TIGER Floral. Clean. Refreshing. $25...Kaoliang * ES Soka * Jasmine Syrup * Lime * Aloe Air... I ordered the Crouching Tiger; I wouldn't order this one again only for the sake that the Lime was a bit tart for me. Something about this drink also reminded me of something I had in college (which gave me some type of PTSD!, go figure and not to any fault of the bartender). *LEGENDARY BIRD Silky. Tropical. Effervescent. $27...Appleton 8yr * Campari * Clarified Lime & Pineapple * Champagne * Whey... Sweet and delicious! Overall, despite the cost; I would definitely return!

The Maybourne is one of my favorite hotels in Beverly Hills because of its elegant ambiance and friendly service. The bartenders here make every cocktail with careful skill and the food is tasty. I love watching them "stamp" the ice cubes when sitting at the bar and enjoy their complimentary bar snacks as well.

I had an awful experience in the spa while preparing for my massage. The waterfall shower was in a bad condition and when I turned it on, only scalding hot water came at me from all directions. It was incredibly painful and I stupidly tried to turn it off. I was screaming for help, not a soul in the spa to assist. I ran out of the room because my skin was on fire and I couldn't turn the water off. Again, no staff. I went with my towel to the empty lobby to look for help. Calling out for assistance. Finally a young man came out, saw my red face and skin, and only asked if I wanted him to call security. Security? My skin was painful to the touch, I thought I was going to pass out from the excessive heat from the scaling hot water, and I needed help. Not security. I had to cancel my massage because I couldn't have touch my skin to even dry myself. I couldn't put on my bra my skin was so burnt. I slipped into my linen dress and even that was painful. I was sobbing from shock and pain and the Maybourne did nothing to help me. They didn't even offer me a ride home. I left in tears and have yet to return for my massage. It was a gift as everybody I love knows how much I enjoyed the Montage spa days and massages. The Maybourne treated me poorly and I felt awful for the 3 women who were sent into the scalding shower to try to turn it off. Even they had trouble. The shower room flooded with hot water and I was in shock when leaving and going home. My neighbor saw me coming in and brought aloe Vera for my most obvious wounds. The Maybourne offered to comp my parking but I was not fit to drive. I called for an Uber, stood outside wearing nothing but my dress, wet, and holding back tears. Everything was better when it was The Montage. Especially the management. As one reviewer noted, we hope The Maybourne staff will mature into a more professional and customer oriented team. I was beyond upset by the painful experience and lack of response from the hotel. I should have sued them for the burns to my back, arms, and shoulders I sustained during the equipment failure. No response from the Maybourne was disappointing to say the least.

This is the best bar in all of Los Angeles, bar none. It's classy, gorgeous, and the cocktails are incredibly crafted! It's very small and quiet, but has the subdued ambiance of a London bar. It's very European in the best way possible, and both the service and cocktails rival the best five-star bars I've found in Europe. A rare case in LA!

I recall that the hotel bar when it was owned by the Montage was closer to the restaurant and far more spacious and refined. Now the bar is near the reception counter, much smaller, cramped and looking rather makeshift and provisional. The friendly, convivial bar manager mentioned that the original bar was being renovated, and that the present space is temporary. But I'm wondering why not have retained the old Montage Bar when it was perfectly fine, and the Maybourne would have a sophisticated, working bar immediately upon taking over? Anyway, hope that the new, renovated Maybourne bar will be at least as chic as the one that was the Montage bar. Started by ordering Roku Japanese Gin with its own proprietary blend of herbs which was refreshing, rich in velvety mouthfeel, smooth, mellow sweetness, complementary aromatic fragrances. The crystal clear cube of ice added to its look of purity. One can order from the restaurant menu:1) Their vaunted Fried Chicken is breast meat chicken "fingers". Breast meat, which is often dry and mealy, is moist from brining or a light marinade. "13 spice blend" was not particularly evident. Covered in crispy Japanese Panko bread crumbs, fried, drizzled with what seems like aged Aceto Balsamico & finely chopped chives. Accompanying agrodolce emulsified sauce on the side. Not bad for chicken fingers, but at $28 a pop, it must help pay for the $450 million purchase price paid by Maybourne. 2) Marquis de Chocolat: " with sour cherry ice cream, whipped amaretto ganache, smoked bitter chocolate sauce". Nice sweet-sour combination of fruity, chocolatey, creamy, almond. Pretty presentation for $18. There is even a pairing of Niepoort 'LBV' Ruby Port 2017 for $13, but I thought sweet on sweet was too much for me that night. There is a cramped, claustrophobic feeling to this Maybourne bar which I hope will change with the opening of the new bar. Also, the pre-Pandemic Montage had well seated bartenders who had a more confident, hail-fellow-well-met demeanor that was more engaging. As the new Maybourne staff matures, perhaps there will be a more open, warm hospitality that will be formed. The manager is a good start. 3+ stars

My favorite bar in LA? The dimly lit, Onyx bar is an incredible sight every time.Cocktails, staff, and cozy space combined is my cloud 9.
