We were unsure whether or not the prices could ever be justified. But surprisingly, for the quality, the prices become a lot more palatable
Even the $15 green juice was OUTSTANDING. Clean, flavorful, and immediately nourishing
Breakfast burrito was fantastic. Definitely ask for an extra of the ranchero salsa sauce
Highlight were the pancakes. Salted butter, maple syrup, butterscotch that’s not too sweet or too overpowering. Fluffy, delicate, decadent, fairy light goodness with each bite. Unreal!!! Would go back just for these
Gratuity is automatically included on every check!

The environment is nice and drinks are good, which is why I came back a second day after a great first visit. Unfortunately, the service on my second visit was very disappointing.
Most staff were friendly, but one lady who appeared to be supervisor(i guess)approached me and implied that I should give up my table because the guests next to me wanted a bigger table. Her tone and approach made me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected, especially since I was there first.
Later, the couple next to me kindly explained they never asked for me to leave, it was entirely the staff’s decision. Also, I had only paid earlier because I was told payment was required to move indoors, not because I had finished my visit. I was planning to order more, but no one came back to serve me afterward.
This experience really affected what should have been an enjoyable evening. I hope management takes service training more seriously.

It's an ok place. Always very busy. The servers always seems stressed out and honestly, not good. Could be much better for BH.

This place is so underrated. They’re one of the best cafe in LA. They have homemade coffee syrups and their seasonal blueberry pie latte is soooo sooo good.

Very elegant dining for breakfast. Expensive but worth it. The food was great and the place is one of my favourite places in town.

Wonderful location with very nice and comfortable outdoor seating which overlooks the courtyard. Great place to enjoy the sunny weather. Other than the location, the food and service were less than ideal. The food is quite bland and mediocre. The service is also non existent. I would have coffee here again but dine elsewhere.

Beautiful and cozy spot, especially romantic at night. The food was good, but the service not so much. Early in the evening, a very rude staff member pressured us to leave quickly, claiming the place would get crowded. Oddly enough, it remained empty for the next hour. Later, a nice woman came by to apologize, which we appreciated, but the overall experience was disappointing. I would’ve gladly returned if not for that incident.

One of my favorite places to hang out. Beautiful courtyard to look at. Good food and drinks. Makes you feel fancy. Worth the higher prices.
Biscuits with clotted cream and jam are awesome but expensive. Bagel and lox is great. Bacon superb. Toasts are good.
Good place to socialize or pop out the laptop. The have free WiFi too.

Maybourne Cafe is a beautiful spot with a relaxing vibe and great service, perfect if you’re staying at the hotel. The atmosphere is elegant but still comfortable, and the food is fresh and well-prepared. Their pastries are top-notch and the presentation is impressive. The coffee is really good, but just know you’re paying luxury prices, around $10 for a cup. While that’s definitely on the high side, you’re also paying for the experience and setting. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind or meet someone for a casual, upscale coffee break.

I am deeply disturbed by the experience my disabled mother and I had at The Maybourne Café. We arrived ahead of our family and politely informed the staff twice that we were waiting for the rest of our party. Despite this, we were approached and told to leave the café, with no valid explanation—other than, it seemed, discomfort with the way my mother looked due to her disability.
This was not only humiliating and deeply hurtful, but also a clear act of discrimination. There was no crowd, no issue with seating—we were simply sitting quietly and waiting. The only “problem” appeared to be my mother’s appearance, which is utterly unacceptable.
We have since filed an official complaint with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regarding this incident. No one—disabled or otherwise—should be treated as though they are unwelcome or unworthy of dignity.
This experience turned what should have been a beautiful family outing into something degrading and painful. I strongly urge The Maybourne Café to examine its policies and training practices around inclusivity, compassion, and legal compliance.
Until meaningful change is made, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who values respect, decency, or basic human rights.
Delicious food in beautiful place🌸♥️ thank you 🙏
