I struggled a bit with this review bc our experience was pretty good overall. had a really nice outdoor rooftop situation. the service was really great. food was delish. but here’s my issue. they didn’t have a cocktail menu (or at least i wasn’t give one) so i just asked if i could get an aperol spritz assuming the cost would be on par with other higher-end brunch places in beverly hills. they were $28 apiece!! lol… wtf?? and i’m pretty certain they didn’t put Dom in the glass. i expected to pay a premium to eat here but good Lord don’t have any alcohol if you go!! ?

Nice atmosphere but way overpriced. Food is average at best and there was a mistake on the order with no attempt to offer a credit or a replacement. I will not return as the prices continue to increase while the food quality and service is mediocre at best.
We chose this restaurant because of the rooftop view thinking it would be like the SLS rooftop restaurant on la Cienega. No view. Ordered hamburger. Bun was sub par especially for the price. Dessert was great but noise from loud people at the bar was distracting.
Great quiet place to enjoy a good view the food is great too??

We are great fans of the Roof Garden where we eat frequently. We take friends there for special occasions and treat ourselves to their wonderful food, ambiance and service perhaps 10-20 times a year. Last night was a little bit of a disappointment. We had a server, Leo, whom we'd never encountered before. He seemed uninterested in helping us and it was difficult to get him to take our order, refresh our drinks, provide shade from a blinding late afternoon sun or offer us dessert. He wasn't particularly bad, he was just very much below the usual level of service we enjoy at the Peninsula in both the Belvedere and the Roof Garden. He needs more training and perhaps he can become a better member of a first rate team. Despite this, we had a lovely evening. Kudos to the rest of the team and to Offer Nissenbaum who does such as fine job of running the entire property. Vera and John
A lovely rooftop dining experience! The staff was wonderfully attentive and food was fantastic. Had the spicy tuna tartare and branzino fillet. I was treated to a lovely view and enjoyed dinner at sunset. Will return the next time I am in LA.
We had a lovely dinner at The Roof Garden. The food was fabulous and the setting was beautiful. The noise level was just right so that we could all hear each other and have a great conversation. The only negative was that it is the Peninsula and the food and the parking is on the expensive side.
Usually excellent but they surprisingly changed the menu.... Not so good. So sorry to say .... Love this place and the service is great but the changes to the menu just didn't make me happy. However, we will try again and not order the Turkey Wrap.....!
We ate outside under cjeeeful yellow umbrellas We had a fried chicken sandwich with mounds of fries. It was the best! Reasonably priced for a fancy hotel with great service We also had the turkey wrap which was good

The staff was lovely but the service was very slow. Apparently there was a problem in the kitchen and the food took a long time to come out. In addition 1 of the four diners waited at least 15 minutes for their food after everyone else was served. We were compensated with complimentary dessert but it still will make us think twice before dining there again.
The experience was wonderful. But the Cobb had a shortage of ingredients. It was mostly lettuce and the chicken in the sandwich was too big and dry. The chips for the guacamole were too salty. We absolutely lived being up there and everyone was very nice and very helpful. The burger and cappuccino and calamari were incredibly. Just fyi. Thank you!!
Our waiter was awful for such an upmarket restaurant. The waiter forgot to bring the sparkling water we ordered. We had to ask another waiter to get him to come to get our drinks order, and then he had to ask for my wife's order twice. He was very inattentive, and when asked for the check it took a long time while he walked around doing various things. I left a 10% tip.
We come to the roof garden every time we are in Los Angeles. It's one of our favorites and NEVER disappoints. The food is high quality and a nice menu, the service is top notch, friendly, truly helpful...last night one of our guests left sunglasses on the table and our server Kenneth ran them down to the lobby before we left in the car. The tables and seats are comfortable, the garden is very pretty, it's a relaxed happy environment. Thank you!
Unfortunately, the calamari was too tough to chew and the fish tacos were tasteless, as were the condiments. Although we sent the calamari back, but it was not taken off the bill. Our server was not around much, and seemed pretty impatient. Other than a nice atmosphere, where we weren't rushed, it was a lousy meal.
