Amazing bbq. The ribs were fall off the bone, and the tri tip was so juicy. It just sucks they are so far away but it’s definitely worth the stop cruising through.

I stop by this place any time I’m in the area, it’s conveniently located on the road to Mammoth and many other places in the eastern sierras. Definitely be sure to get there early as they sometimes sell out. All of their meats are amazing and their sides are great as well, especially the mac and cheese. Great selection of local beers and soft drinks as well. The owner also seems like a great dude. Highly recommended

I got the variety platter. Tri-tip was very tasty, as was the chicken sausage. But the ribs were disappointing - one was ok but the other chewy and tough. I came in late afternoon so maybe it was a batch that got pulled off the smoker early. The pulled pork was surprisingly bland and uninteresting. I had the coleslaw and honestly wondered if they even made it themselves - ingredients didn't seem that fresh, it was way too sweet and overall bland and soupy. I'd be tempted to try this place again because I think it should normally be good but this visit definitely wasn't what I was hoping for.

I ordered The tri tip it was a little bit tough. Barbecue sauce was good.Potato salad was good.You order it the window and pick it up yourself. Picnic table friendly. Apparently it is a famous barbecue joint lone pine california

The BBQ here is amazing! We got a tri-tip sandwich, ribs and potatoe salad. So good! And the staff are super friendly and they cook all their meats in big smokers out front. Very cool.
We have been passing this place for years & finally had time to stop. I wasn't impressed 😶 My sandwich was 1/2 & 1/2. The steak was full of gristle & I make much better cole slaw. Really disappointed & it wasn't cheap ☹️

We had a fair bit of bbq on our 3 week trip in the U.S., however this was by far the BEST one.
We had the platter for 2 person which was more than sufficient. Inside they have a beer station with multiple local beers, highly recommend to enjoy a beer with your food. You can take a seat either inside or outside enjoying the mountain view.
If you happen to travel from Yosemite to Las Vegas through death valley this BBQ place is a must.

Really good BBQ in Big Pine, CA along Hwy 395 in the eastern Sierra’s. Try it, you’ll like it!
I had the Big Pine Mega Platter and wasn’t disappointed. The single person serving is a lot of food, so you’re getting your money’s worth. Sausage, pork ribs, pulled pork, and Tri Tip. I had the vegetarian green chili which was very good.
Just like bbq everywhere, the cost of the meat and ingredients is going up, but you can’t blame them for increasing prices; after all they have to make a profit. But their prices are still a bargain compared to bbq in Phoenix, AZ or McKinney, TX.
