I'm sorry but I have to b honest with my review. I ordered a hard shell shredded beef taco with a cheese enchilada. What I got was a tiny store bought taco shell with the meat tasting like the gravy from canned beef. I had one bite and could not finish it. The cheese enchilada was under a bed of shredded lettuce and was flat. I always look forward to the chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant and these were the worst I ever had, I give the salsa a 3 of of 10. And they couldn't sell any alcohol either 😞. I don't blame the server, she was fine.

Great Mexican restaurant. It was truly the food that would drive me back. The service was fast and efficient. However, the food was delicious. I lived in Mexicali, and their food brought me back to a family restaurant where everyone would sing. I have never been able to carry a tune. But the food was worth me making a fool at of myself. This restaurants food was very close to that hole in the wall restaurant in Mexicali, and I still can't match a pitch or carry a tune! If you want good Mexican food on the mountain, go here.

I really liked the food here. I was stuffed after I ate and chips and salsa were included. I don't get a drink most of the time all food places charge way to much that cost them pennies to buy.

Kudos to this amazing restaurant! Their delicious homemade food, excellent customer service, and spotless cleanliness truly stand out. We’re out-of-town folks and quite picky about food, but they absolutely deserve recognition.
We came in one day and loved it so much that, even though we had planned to try another place, we decided to come back instead—their food is that good!
Special kudos for their friendliness and for making us feel right at home go to Charlie (who patiently answers all your food questions), Selena, Daisy, and Isabel (no particular order, except for Charlie). Actually, Charlie goes beyond to provide you a phenomenal customer experience. Thank you all for such a wonderful dining experience! Pictures show plates of huevos rancheros, shrimp soup, trio fajitas.....yummy!! Lastly, their kitchen is super clean, so that is a plus...plus!!

This place is a local favorite. The food has always been great since they opened. The service is great; they are very attentive and kind. I would say it's way better than the majority of Mexican places on the mountain. My husband and I love coming here whenever we get the chance. 10/10 recommend going here.

Based on other reviews I must have just picked a bad day. Torta had one thin slice of chicken breast on one side of the humongous bun filled with lettuce. Cheese enchilada, Chile rellano, rice & beans had no flavor even using salsa. Asada taco was ice cold. Place was empty (3 people) and a little boy with a ponytail was kicking a ball around.

The couple of times I have been there, it has been semi empty, however, I have been there earlier than anyone else, by 10:00 ish am, it started to get busy. Nonetheless, for being the only table in the morning, it took, some time to get some service, then, service got much better... It is a really nice, cool place up in the San Bernardino mountains in Blue Jay.
