Best veggie burger I’ve ever had & I’ve had a lot!!!! I love coming here - the food, drink, atmosphere and local art are all great!

Had two different veggies burgers. Chili version was good. Fries were even better, you must try. Had with a glass of wine. Highly recommend!

Went here once, haven’t been back… Not nearly the best place in Lake Arrowhead.

Food is gas station quality and not even with a gas station price, every dish we ordered was over cooked, ingredients were not fresh, I dont think they have a chef even, just a trained someone do the frying in the open kitchen, on top of that, dirty, table cloth is like never been washed and table was sticky. The one server worked there was nice but they had only one person running around the entire restaurant, we had to wait to be seated, waited for the food and bill. Overall, not a good experience.

My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meals here! The au jus for the beef dip was amazing and the fresh hand-cut fries are a must. Very large portions and great service!

As locals in Lake Arrowhead, we are deeply disappointed with this restaurant’s behavior. The service was appalling, and the surprise charges on our bill were shocking. We placed a takeout order and were only told after ordering that there was a mandatory 20% “auto service charge”—for takeout! This is unheard of in any city, let alone here.

We were kept on hold for at least 20 minutes, repeatedly transferred, and even hung up on once. When we finally got our order, it was wrong, and we were charged for items we didn’t order. Despite pointing this out, we still paid for the incorrect items out of frustration and the desire to just leave.

This venue prides itself on being LGBTQ-friendly, but the experience was far from welcoming. My husband and I, along with other patrons, were ignored when we arrived. Despite the visible signs of love and equality, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable from the moment we stepped in.

It’s clear that profits come before ethics here. A 20% “auto service charge” for takeout burgers is completely unacceptable. As locals, we cannot recommend this place. This kind of behavior is not reflective of the Lake Arrowhead community and is a poor example for both visitors and residents alike.

This place was great. Friendly staff, the best French toast and there are games like uno and Jenga the kids can play while you wait. We stumbled upon it by accident and so glad we did. All the foods were fresh and tasty.

Spade and Spatula is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious farm to table food and exceptional service. I loved the fresh and flavorful Grilled Salmon Salad, perfectly cooked and paired with vibrant greens. My group loved the blue cheese hamburgers, which were juicy and satisfying, amd the beef dip, while the 5-star French fries are exceptionally crispy deep golden perfection. Our server, Cat, was incredibly sweet and attentive, adding a personal touch to the experience. With great food, stellar service, and a cozy atmosphere, Spade and Spatula is truly a hidden gem!

Ordered burgers and beers. Not that busy. Only 2 table and someone at the bar. After about 30 to 40 minutes and finishing our beers we asked about our food. Waitress said she forgot to put in the order. While we were starving and crazing a burger, we took the check. Had to send it back as she forgot the happy hour discount. Which at that point should have been comped. We left. No excuse worth staying for.

The Blue Jay blue cheese burger at Spade and Spatula is amazing (wagyu beef patty, gorgonzola crumble, balsamic glaze, candied bacon, garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato). Wagyu beef comes from Japanese cows that are fed a special diet. The beef is a different color from regular hamburger meat, and it tastes much different and much better. My waitress Isca was dressed as Krampus, the horned being that travels with St. Nick to deal with the not so nice children. Spade and Spatula has wonderful food and great service.

Omgosh… I had the salmon salad to go, it was amazing! I’m sure even better to eat there. Would I or get it again??? YES! My other favorite is the pastrami cheese Burger!
