The food at Donny's is always delicious. Donny, the owner, is always in a good mood, starting conversation with customers making them feel like friends even though it is the first time they meet. I love this small, cozy, cheerful and welcoming place.

I got the egg,cheese and bacon on a garlic bagel. I added tomato and it was good.a little bit of spread of mayo chipotle or sauce would have been a good addition to it. I also ordered the avocado toast and it was flavorful. I got the heavenly coffee I would recommend no whip because it’s already really sweet. One downside is they are not dog friendly.

Donnys is the definition of a community cafe. I'm always impressed with how Donny and the team know all of the customers by name, so the service always feel personal. They use Cafe Moto espresso so you know the drinks are delicious.

I recently visited Donny's Cafe and ordered the Heaven's Delight - it lived up to its name! This local mom-and-pop shop exudes charm and boasts excellent customer service. The covered outdoor seating is a delightful touch, allowing you to enjoy your coffee even on rainy days. A hidden gem worth supporting!

Ventured here after looking for a spot to catch the sunset, coffee, and some food. It met all our needs and surpassed them! We got the salmon bagel and the avocado toast supreme. We also got two of the coffee drinks. *chef's kiss* There was indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. Everyone there, including the customers were kind and happy. I really enjoyed my experience here, as did my partner. Looking forward to coming back as soon as I can. I'm getting hungry as I write this :D Lovely place. I do approve!

Right as we walked in we were greeted by Donny & his wife? It's a cute little spot hidden behind the bike shop on Bonita. We wanted breakfast, and came for the avocado toast but stayed for the turkey sandwich! It was soooo good coffee was really good too but I will definitely come back for the service and the turkey sandwiches.

I've been coming to Donny's for a few years now (despite being local for much longer) and it's fantastic every time. Great food and drink, with my favorites being a blended PB Delight and a Bagel Salmon with no tomato! Donny and his wife are very attentive, and he has my go-to order memorized right when I walk up. The cafe itself is cozy and there are usually a few seating areas inside, but the patio is where a majority of the seating is. Overall, I highly recommend stopping in if you're in Bonita and looking to support a local business. There's something for everyone at Donny's!
Wow, talk about a hidden gem. I’m a Chula Vista native and barely discovered Donny’s Café today (thanks to my dentist for the suggestion). The Mexican mocha was delicious (perfect temperature and the right amount of sweetness) and the turkey sandwich was made with love: fresh toasted sourdough, havarti cheese, avocado, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, and spinach. Both my mocha and sandwich were decent in size and reasonably priced. When a business excels in quality AND quantity, your result is very happy customers. Thank you for the great service and food. I’ll be back!
