It’s really a 4.4. I’d call it an expensive, Mexican, I-Hop. Menu options are extensive. I was glad that I read the reviews and saw that there was a secret menu on a whiteboard because that has a lot of good selections also. Sat at the bar so we had a Bird’s eye view to the kitchen, the serving staff and the clients in the restaurant. Food was good too plus good overall. Only negatives were they ran out of coffee cups, so my coffee was served in a to go cup and our sourdough toast came when we were halfway through our meal. That’s a little pet peeve of mine. I like to have my toast while I’m eating. Pricing is high, but I’m willing to pay if it means good food and good service. As an example, a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice is $10. The pace is fast 🏃🏻so if you’re looking for a relaxing 🧘🏽♀️breakfast or brunch, this may not be the place for that. The wait staff hussles and tries to keep up. No doubt about it. They r nice enough and show they want to serve u but with their fast pace i felt like i was a bother instead of a guest. Still overall good experience and i would come back on a non-weekend day. I do wanna try the chiliqilles 😀
The service was good, but the food was great.

We were in the area. I thought from all the good review it would be good place to eat after 8 hours drive. Me and my sister was so hungry, tired no sleep. Once we got seated. 3 table that got seated after us got served their food first. The servers just keep passing us by since we seat by the entrance door. No one bother tp check on us and check on our orders. After 1 hour later and 3 tables have left. We still havent receive our order. At this point we are ready to walk out. Then we got our food. The sausage is dry as heck and burnt, toast are burnt. My eggs are not over medium. The food is ok. The gravy is blant. For almost $90 i dont think its worth it. If you are looking for breakfast place. I dont recommend this place. Everything sucks.

very nice, cozy breakfast...not far from Chula vista city center...nice cozy early morning breakfast stop..friendly, prompt, reasonably priced..nice atmosphere...great coffee and pancakes..will be returning +++++
Me and my lady showed up around 1:30 to have breakfast. I asked for a dish that I thought was chopped up ground beef instead served me a burned hamburger patty with little to no flavor. I sent it back for bacon instead then the bacon was burned to a crisp. my experience was horrible spent 50 dollars for basically eggs over easy and fruit every thing else was horrible. My advice is to not show up before they close. They basically rushed our food to hurry and close the restaurant.

The highlight was the bus boy Diego he was
amazing . He got me a refill & extra napkins
normally busboys don’t have that next level
service because they don’t get tipped the same. With Diego his facial body language
was like he was happy to help. I’m a corporate businessman and I understand
talent. Diego should be a waiter your restaurant will excel more. Thank you Diego
for being a Rockstar .

My son lives in Bonita so I picked this place for brunch we ordered piña colada french toast, before we even had a chance to drink water the meal was at the table!! instant! nothing that fast can be good! well it was disgusting to say the least! totally raw inside! one coffee one arnold palmer and a 40 dollar bill !!! the waiter was willing to redo it but we were so turned off we declined! we should of had them take it off the bill but they should of offered but they did not even care so instead they get a bad review!

Food and service not bad I guess, but the restaurant and outside grounds have deteriorated a lot! Trashy trashy everywhere. What’s going on here? Get a cleaning crew flapjacks and a gardener, it’s looking bad and I can only imagine how the kitchen looks. Sorry I was grossed out sadly!

We came here for breakfast during the week. It's a nice little spot located in an old strip mall. The wait wasn't very long for three people. Once we sat down, the waiter came over with the menus. There was a lot of different options to choose from. while I was sitting there, wondering what I was going to order, I saw a plate of chopped up juicy steak go past my table. The steak was sitting on top of some other food which I thought was egg. I asked the waiter what it was and he said it was steak on top of Chilaquiles. He said it was something that was not on the menu, but you could order. They do have a whiteboard off to the side that list some secret choices you can choose from. I asked for the Chilaquiles with steak, but of course they were out of steak momentarily. I am not exactly sure what that means, but I was disappointed since the lady next to me had just gotten hers. The waiter offered other meats, including chorizo, which is what we picked. Beware the Chilaquiles are spicy! I washed them down with some cold water, because I had ran out of coffee. I asked the waiter if I can get a refill and he said "of course." I saw the waiter go by taking orders, but he never brought my coffee. I eventually had to ask one of the runners if she could fill my coffee, and she did. This place has great food, and the service is usually pretty decent. It appears there are a lot of locals that frequent the place. Just a heads up if you're in the mood for mimosas, this isn't the spot, they don't serve alcohol.
