The server, she was super nice!! I got the Cali Burrito, but with chicken instead of Carne Asada. 10/10!! It's absolutely perfectly filled! Each bite, you get everything. From the cheese to the fries to the meat. I loved it!!

This place is one of the worst in San Diego…I wanted to come here because I was looking for Mexican Restaurants with good tamales but when I came in the restaurant it looked very convincing, the best thing about this is the culture and artwork that is more pleasing than the food. We were the only people in the restaurant and the lady kept trying to keep busy and took 10-15 minutes to ask us what we would like to drink. After our order was placed we heard a microwave beep because it was very quiet, no music just silence so we are assuming our food was microwaved… 10 minutes later our food comes out after the beep and the tamales are very dry and everything lacks flavor, the only thing I ate was one tamale and I was slowly eating the rice, the cups didn’t seem to be throughly cleaned and the water tasted like dirt and the pink lemonade from the soda machine tasted normal but had a bit of the dirt water after taste. This upset me because it was my first time eating here and the first time we had dinner with my boyfriend as a family bonding time. So in conclusion the food was dry and you couldn’t wash it down because the drinks were also bad.

Food is not good, very plain, source has no flavor, soups are plain. Just to fill stomach is fine, but definitely not good at taste, and the atmosphere is like i should close my door because no one is ever here.

Food was terrible, worst mexican food we as a family had ever had. Starting with the salsa and food, just skipped dessert to not be more disappointed. Atleast service was amazing, it is the only reason we stayed.

I should have checked reviews on yelp, the reviews on google were deceiving. The food has been the worst I had and I been to a few places in the area. The tortillas were hard and cold when they were brought out, the pozole was from the can even though the server claim it was made fresh I know it was not because I eat a lot of pozole from both can and home made at least enough to know the difference. The service was descent even though the server took the order of another party that got there after us.I will not be returning no recommending the place. Waste of money and expensive a carne asada taco was $7.99 just 1 taco no rice no beans nothing taco by itself. If the food had been good I will not have mind the prices but the food was not good.

Giving 4 stars. Service was excellent, 5 star. Food was 3-3/1/2 star. Basic but tasty. Decor was pleasant. That said, the chips and salsa need to be rethought. Also, my plate had a huge chip (not a tortilla, ) on the edge.

The spot has a lovely cozy vibe but the food lacked flavor for me personally.Took my Mother here for her Bday breakfast to remind her of home, Guadalajara. We are outside since we had a dog in the car nearby. The cups for their cafe is beautiful!

This place took a dump since they changed to the larger location. The front of house does not work in conjunction with the kitchen. The quality of the food went down maybe half a notch mainly because it was not hot. I usually went for the white menudo but I have found a couple of other places that still care about the food they serve. It appears that the management is not taste testing the food , they should try it, it will keep the kitchen on their toes. Maybe do something to improve the quality efficiency in the front of house as well.

Too much oregano in the salsa has kept me away for 30(+) years... Since Café Olé is no more, try Tacos El Trompo better.

if you see some of my post I love food and I Love leaving good feedback as well as bad... I'd rather never have a bad experience, but people.... this wasnt our first choice, but a guy from our church picked another place close by that was closed for lunch. To be fair if I saw 3 stars I might not have come. But the service was a 5 star and all the food was 4 star or better. From the chilaquiles with fresh fried tortillas, to the mole and I had the Steak Fajitas which were flame grilled and great! our party of 6 always had our drinks refilled our salsa kept coming back full and more chips... how much can 6 guys eat... a lot! Well done! Ive driven by 1000 times or more and always wondered. I will definitely be back for the chilaquiles next time.
