We got engaged near by here and wanted to try somewhere new for dinner. We heard this was the place to go. They were extremely accommodating cooked our meal ahead of time and had it ready by the time we arrived even after they closed the kitchen. Best brussel sprouts I've ever had, steak was great, and the mash potatoes too! They really made my day that much better. The owners Chris and his wife were extremely friendly! They were gonna pay for our meal but my fiancee paid ahead of time, so they paid for our drinks and dessert. Truly will remember them and all they did. Well worth the price we paid!

This place is 10 outta 10. I had the filet with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Cooked to perfection. Best brussell sprouts I've ever had. Comperable to Nick's on State. Our new go-to 🙌🔥🩷

Literally amazing…. As I finished the last Brussel sprouts topped with candied bacon and feta cheese i thought to myself i could eat 3 more plates by myself (I didn’t) but mannnnn so amazing and delicious

Literally everything was good! We had the Brussels sprouts with feta cheese and caramelized bacon bits on top…😩 sooo good! And the chicken pesto!! Delicious. Great vibes, super cool staff, and friendly customers. The drink selection was always awesome.

My second time eating at Backdraft and it is the best restaurant I have been too. They make you feel special like your part of the family. Everyone appears to love working there. I can't say enough good things about the atmosphere. You will not find better, fresher food than here.

Decent food and friendly wait staff

This place delivers better food and service than any restaurant I’ve experienced in San Diego. The menu is genuinely original, thoughtfully crafted, and executed flawlessly. Every single team member was warm, friendly, and smiling—you can feel the positive culture the moment you walk in.

I live over an hour away, and as a hospitality professional and restaurant manager myself, I was completely blown away by the level of service. Everything was fast, polished, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Even small details stood out—like a double Tito’s and soda for just $14, easily 30% less than most places, yet poured generously.

The food quality, flavor, and portion sizes offered incredible value. I honestly haven’t enjoyed a dining experience this much in over 10 years. Management isn’t doing something right—they’re doing everything right.

The team consistently greeted us with genuine smiles, even when simply passing by the table. Our server, Ashley, was phenomenal—extremely knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. I trusted her recommendations, and every single one exceeded my expectations.

If there were an option to franchise this place, I’d be first in line to invest. Thank you for such a warm, authentic, and absolutely delicious dining experience.

Theres not one thing that Ive tried that hasnt been good! The appetizers, the pizza, the burgers!! So good! The proces are reasonable and the service is great.. just try it, you wont regret it. Side note: they help the local school/community. Just awesome all around!

Went here for my birthday And it was fabulous! The bacon appetizer, and the fish dinner were both delicious! Fun atmosphere good service even though we got there a little less than an hour before closing. It was a great choice for girls night/Birthday dinner.
oh! And the Carrot cake,... YUMMY!¡!

Went here for lunch and tried the turkey sandwich, the mac daddy burger, and chipotle raspberry wings. Wings were good. Burger was good, but couldnt hardly taste the bacon. Sandwich was also good, and thought the bread was a bit dry. Its a bar so a bit loud. There is a nice large outdoor area as well. Service was on point. Overall, would come back if in the area and would try the pizza.
