The food is delicious here. Our favorite pizza is the loaded potato, seriously mouth watering. The burgers are also super yummy, so much so that we don't go to the competitor's restaurant even though their burgers are nearly half the price, the Backdraft's burgers are worth it. Also we have always had amazing service every time whether it's dine in or take out. It's become our go-to treat when we don't want to cook

It was a very chill lunch on the back patio. Food was great! Service was great! I had the Up in Smoke burger. I'm glad I got the 5150 sauce on the side, little spicy. Can't wait to go back. Oh, they had 24 different beers on tap!

The modern rustic atmosphere is fantastic, the bar has a great selection of top shelf spirits you typically don’t see. The owner is a local and honors his late brother that contributed to the community great being a firefighter for over 30 years. Love this place !

Parking: Plenty of parking.

Kid-friendliness: The outdoor patio is best for the kids.

Mackenzie was our server and went above and beyond. She made excellent recommendations, answered all of our questions, gave us the beautiful, sweet, background of the origins of the business, and generally provided an amazing joyful experience.

The food is beyond excellent. There is a decent variety of items without being overwhelming. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and filling. A good selection of beers and drinks and all of the salide sauces are house made. One of the best ranch dressings I have tried. And the fries are crazy!!!

And the bathrooms have black toilets! It's the little things... highly highly recommend trying this gem of a place.

In the corner of a semi-rural strip mall. You would never find it without searching for good food and new places. Can't help but laugh that a fire-themed bar is next door to a smoke shop ?.

Outside it looks tiny but it spreads out inside and there's a huge outdoor shaded patio.

Really interesting burger selection but there's pasta, fish and pizza as wells as appys on the other menus.

Good burger (Up In Smoke) but be careful about your doneness. My medium rare was very rare. I ain't skerred but another minute on the hot part of the flat top would have been better. 5150 sauce has a little kick but too sweet for my liking.

Really fun potatoes. Curled but flat and lightly coated, not over salted ?

This place opened recently and is serving really good food! Make sure you get here soon, you won’t regret it! You’ll ask yourself, where have these folks been! I had one of their big salads. Get McKenzie’s section. She’s awesome!

On the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall bar. When you come in and are greeted by very nice hosts. I sat at the bar and made friends with the locals and the bartender. They have a small selection on draft but a good variety. The locals will tell you the story behind the venue, which is better by mouth than reading it! The bartender raved about the owners being extremely nice people! The food was amazing. They made a simple sandwich gourmet! I am not from California, and I did not expect to be greeted with such hospitality! The staff, the customers, and the food make this restaurant seem very big in a small place!

Parking: It's inside a small outlet so there is plenty of parking!

Great addition to Bonsall! Food is great. The burgers are quite a splurge- tasty, juicy! Pizza is good too. Nice place to hang out on the patio and enjoy a beer.

This place has so much potential, but frankly they suffer from poorly performing kitchen staff and management that’s not reigning in the issues. We’ve been there many times now. Each time there are issues with food coming out wrong, poorly timed service (half the table gets food while the rest wait another 15 minutes) and so many excuses covering for their kitchen it’s insane. Don’t get me wrong, the place has a killer feel and when the food is right, it’s awesome. But the frustrations felt every time we go have added up to too much. We won’t be going back for a long while. Hopefully they get their problems worked out.

Food was amazing and the service was great. The Spot Fire salmon was incredible and the Mayday Fries were delicious. I'm glad our server recommended adding pickles on top of the fries. Was so good. Looking forward to coming back soon.

The food at Backdraft was great, but the service left much to be desired. I sat at the bar and unfortunately, the bartender spent most of the time sitting at a table nearby, glued to her phone. It was tough to get her attention for even the basics, like silverware or another drink. I would've ordered at least one more, but she never came back to check. Thankfully, a server from another section noticed me trying to flag her down and was kind enough to bring me what I needed. The food is worth it, but the service definitely needs improvement.

The location is great. The decoration is pretty cool. However, the menu is hard to read because every item has a fire inspired name. So you end up having to read every single ingredient. We were never given refill on our sodas. My kid's lemonade was super sour, and the cup and straw was disintegrating. They must have been cheap recycled materials. The kid's sliders were made on Hawaiian rolls, which made the cheeseburgers taste gross to my kid. She did like the wavy fries, although you get very few of them. I ordered a sandwich that had Italian dressing in it. It was good, but the type of bread they use became soggy and inedible before i finished my first half. If they changed the bread type, it would have been awesome.
