The girl at the front today that was sitting people down gave me one of the nastiest faces today when I waked it.
She happen to be white. And I’m sure she gave me those faces because I’m Mexican. It’s sad to see people still have this type of attitude especially in a nice restaurant like this. Never coming here again 👎👎👎

Placed a to-go order, we were told it would be at the counter when done in 15-20mins. After 30 minutes passed and no food on the counter so we asked for an update for someone to go find the food in the kitchen. We ordered 3 salads, it shouldn't have taken 30 minutes.

The food is good, but the customer service is terrible 4 out of 10 times and i come to this place really often some of the girls are rude and obnoxious, one time the manger (or at least I think she is the manager) was angry at me and asked me a lot of personal questions to finishing up asking what is the reason I don't tip. (I do tip only when they deserve to be tipped but after that one time she confronted me about tipping ruined my whole experience and because of that I'm not longer tipping in this establishment) also when you call to do a pick up order through the phone, you can wait up to 30 minutes they answer you and put you on the hole. Sometimes they even hang up on you. It's really tedious to do a pick up order in this place because of the same reason. The ambience is good gives me a good vibe and everything. Overall, this is a place that I do recommend I Do not give it five stars. Because of their waiters (the girls) I know not all of them are like that, but I know a couple of them for sure you are especially the one that I think is the manager and a couple of girls that she mentioned the day that she confronted me about not tipping.

My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast, so busy is to be expected. The place is cute and quirky, but since it has high ceilings and is on the second floor, everything echoes. If you sit inside, you won't be able to hear each other.
I was disappointed that they did not have any gluten free substitutions, but it is also something I do not expect everyone to offer.
We ordered the huevos rancheros and the chicken fried steak. Both dishes came out cold and no seasoning on anything. Even the side of salsa was bland.
The servers were very nice and we're obviously working very hard, and I do appreciate the service. Wish I could give it a better rating, I was hoping to like this place.

My experience with their menu has been mixed, with the exception of their burgers, which I have found to be consistently enjoyable. I understand they also operate a sushi bar, which has received positive feedback. Please note that the sushi bar's operating hours may differ from the main restaurant.

Z is awesome. Inexpensive, delicious food and a HUGE menu. Most of all awesome wait staff. If you haven’t you gotta check it out

I've been living in Bonsall for over a year now. Recently discovered Z Cafe and boy let me tell you, is pack everytime I go there but The food is so good that waiting isn't an issue. The server was so friendly and always making sure we were ok or if we needed anything. Great customer service for sure ? ? I definitely recommended
