It was a fun spot .
Beer n wine only wich sucks. But hey ur in the desert, and anything is better than nothing .
But everyone was nice.

Fun dive bar. Frozen pizza was surprisingly good.

Iron door. What to say about them. Not a bad experience. But not entirely good either. Just blah. What they did have to eat and what I ordered to drink came quickly enough. This is a mixed post.

The Iron Door Bar in Ocotillo Wells is the kind of place that proves you can’t judge a book by its cover—or a bar by its…well, dumpiness. Yes, it’s in the middle of nowhere, but that’s half the charm. The staff? Awesome. The beer? Five solid taps, plus a treasure trove of cans and bottles to keep any beer lover happy. And the pepperoni pizza? Let’s just say it’s so good it might be the true ‘hidden gem’ of East County. A quirky oasis worth the dusty drive! Bonus points for taking credit cards. Did I mention it’s in the middle of nowhere?!?

I grew up in the area as a kid of a motocross professional and I remember this being a fun kind of community atmosphere. Not so much now. Beer and wine only bar? However the good looking bartender did pull out a very delicious strong aged in a whisky barrel best tasting ale I've honestly ever had. It was delicious. Let them know "kats beer snob kid" sent you...

Iron Door is the ultimate pit stop for refreshments pizza and laughs in the desert! ?Pedal through the loosie sand and refuel with their mouthwatering pizzas and refreshing drinks. The staff is as funny as they are friendly, making every visit a memorable one.So, next time you're in the area, swing by Iron Door for a slice of happiness maybe play some pool! Don't forget to pin a dollar bill in the wall (if you find an empty space)

Shad and the others at the bar are so welcoming and supportive of our mtb riders coming through! They’ve been great hosts to the stagecoach 400 folks and it’s always nice to see friendly smiling faces midway through a long desert trek. Thank you guys!
