Let me say that the food made everything else acceptable. Very young front of house staff that was very reluctant to tell people walking in that the wait was over 50 for food . I believe if they had more servers then this would have been a 5 star review. Walked in and. Told to seat ourselves, No menus offered or even pointed to. Staff was not rude at all, just overwhelmed. Overall a beautiful place with delicious food . I had the breakfast crab cake with Benedict sauce and the rosemary potatoes and it tasted like a home cooked delicious meal. I can tell the cook put heart into it. My husband had Peg Leg breakfast -French toast and bacon (cooked perfectly crispy) and the portion was smallest out of all of our order, but very very yummy.

Came here for the cocktails, very nice Bloody mary not sure about the Bacon! the other 2 cocktails 1 was very good the other needed more sugar syrup which we got after a while but even then still very sharp. Not sure about the experience.
It was Alright food but to get service was an ordeal.

We live in Borrego Springs California and Red Ocotillo is consistently one of our favorite restaurants. We enjoy the casual bright atmosphere, indoor and beautiful new outdoor dining. We always enjoy the food and service is typically very good. Our most recent visit the restaurant was full and there was one server who provided impeccable service. Breanna was attentive, friendly, and in spite of the crowded house, she and the kitchen managed to serve in a timely, quality, and pleasant manner. We’ve seldom seen a server as efficient as Breanna. When in Borrego Sorings definitely put a visit for a meal or two at the Red O… Ocotillo !
