I have visited this restaurant twice in the last 5 years and had the same unfortunate experience both times, which is why I’m writing this review. Families with small children should avoid this place. The staff is untrained and the service is extremely slow. On my recent visit, the wait time for my order was over an hour, despite the restaurant being only moderately busy. My kids were hungry and tearful after so long a wait. I had to go in to ask the kitchen where our food was as the servers weren’t coming out to the patio often. I contemplated leaving to find breakfast elsewhere. When the food finally did arrive, my youngest wasn’t served and no explanation was given. I had to ask for his food to be brought out. I was also given the wrong check, which added more time to our wait to get on with our day. The time we spent (2+ hours!) for a simple breakfast set back our scheduled plans with family. We won’t be going back.

Great service, beautiful atmosphere incl surrounding well manicured gardens. Terrific service both friendly and attentive. An impressive bloody mary with all the accutrements. Tasty pancakes with pecans. Biscuits and gravy avail in a half order. Happy with our order. Would eat here again!!

We were there during Borrego Days, so we expected a wait. We weren't wrong. It took over an hour to get our food. Fortunately, we were with fun friends and didn't mind the wait. The food was worth it! Everyone was happy with their meal. They were very conscientious with our dogs, too, and brought them water. Nice place.

We walked in for Lunch, last weekend in September. Nice day, not to Hot. Alot of the tables were full. One table was getting frustrated on trying to cash out. There were 2 tables that haven't been given drinks or Menu's. We waited and watched for 5 mins when One of the tables got up and left. We followed shortly after. We did see one lady trying to help cash out a table. But it didn't look promising on service. Never got drinks or Menu's. Very under staffed. I could tell everyone was discouraged.

We first came to this restaurant and were blown away — not just by the amazing food (seriously, the clam chowder on Fridays is a must), but by our incredible server, Sherry. The moment we walked in, she had us seated with menus, drinks, great food recommendations, and a fun, upbeat attitude that made the whole experience special. We enjoyed it so much, we came back the very next day!
Fast forward a month — we couldn’t wait to return. Unfortunately, we found out Sherry was no longer there, and the difference in service was noticeable. The server we had barely checked on us, seemed to spend most of the time in the kitchen, and only really came out when it was time for us to pay. I was even looking forward to trying the cherry cobbler she told us about, but never got the chance to order it.
That said — the food is still fantastic, especially the clam chowder on Fridays. I just hope the level of service returns to what it once was, because with the right staff, this place is truly top-tier.

We had a lovely visit to this restaurant for a good quality and value for money breakfast.
The service was exemplary, the lady working was super friendly and made us feel at ease.
The only slight negative was that one of the items we wanted with our breakfast was unavailable.
Service sucks. If ya wanna wait for food and 30 min for refill on your coke, come here. However; when the food does come, it’s usually pretty good.
