Very easily some of the best food you can get in Boulder Creek, let alone some fantastic Mexican food. We don't have a lot of food options here in Boulder Creek, and El Rey Leon easily makes up for any gaps in dining choices. We gladly visit this establishment as much as we can. We love everything that we have tried; the fish tacos and the carnitas pambazo are the 2 items that we have to get every time. This place does not disappoint.

Good tacos, but the quesabirria is so damn good! Beware: it's the kind of food that you don't want to stop eating because it's so yummy, even when you're stuffed! Recently you can't tip on the card though, so it's more of a hassle, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Some of the best Mexican food in Santa Cruz County. The food is always delicious and freshly made. They recently added outdoor seating and a bbq. The chicken was cooked right in front of us and was some of the best I have ever had. The carne asada wet burrito was also amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in town.

Parking: Parking is shared with the laundromat next-door.
