Feels like home. Loved having the hot dog stand right outside. Bring cash or they have an ATM if you forget.
If you want a great locals spot to beat the heat, this is it! We esp loved Kelly, she made a great Bloody Mary, friendly / welcoming and informative for these out of towners! Reasonable prices for good cocktails and cold beers - and can’t beat that local community feel of the folks at the bar. Will always come back to Joe’s!

Was passing through Boulder Creek with my partner and decided to have a walk around. Passed by Joe's and peered in the window, but decided to keep on walking, wary of time. One of the regulars rushed out and told us to come on in and have a drink. Boy am I glad we took him up on his advice! Barkeep was very friendly and I tried a local lager. Pool and darts in the back for those that want an activity with their drink. A really great and authentic bar that matches the charm of the state park surroundings. Felt very welcome as a visitor :)
The highlight of my trip over to California.
Cheers from the UK!

My band plays here frequently, and even tho I complain, because it's a long drive from aptos and back, lol, this little bar has always been a really great time. I can show up tired, grumpy, and it wouldn't matter. The people are great, the bartenders are amazing and very friendly. And even helped us out a few times when we forgot our tip jar! She's awesome. I forgot her name. I'm sorry. Anyways. It's good. Lol
Wheelchair accessibility: Rolling in through the front door shouldn't be a problem. Definitely not the back door. Lots of stairs. ?

Service here can be quite discriminatory. This is the only bar I've ever been expected to pay before being served a drink. Bartender was quite rude when I declined. Visited here with 20$ in my hand and a cordial demeanor but service seemed more interested in putting me in my place then the money.

Had a great time the bar is predominantly locals, but everyone is friendly. You can order food from surrounding areas. All the patreons had dog treats and were welcoming. The bar is decorated in old cool signs of you're in the area it is worth stopping. CASH

It is our local bar, pool room, meeting place, dance floor, live music, happy hour, winter living room, etc.It fills the need well - Woman owned/staffed, as I understand - and,I like it.I'd drink during the day there ?Dog friendly - on leash, both ends.Dogs asked to leave when bands play.
