It's a little run-down old restaurant liqueur store nestled in the mountains in live oaks. There's not much around, but it's ok to grab some food. Had breakfast and got biscuits and gravy it was OK definitely canned gravy, but not bad. Pancakes were OK, nothing special, but OK. I would go back and try there lunch.
The only place we found with a decent review. We got the philly cheesesteak and the kabob platter (or something similar don't exactly remember the name). The kabobs were way too dry and took away the joy for sure a little bit. They were cooked for far too long and it was hard to eat them. The chicken was better but still too dry. The service was very nice and the atmosphere is definitely fun.
We stayed at a nearby KOA so we decided to try this. The “restaurant” is basically inside a convenience store. You sit at tables in the back with very loud fans running (no a/c). They don’t serve drinks, you just go grab something out of the cooler (however they won’t tell you that unless you ask for a drink). The food was not good. We got a pizza and a chicken salad. The pizza was bland and the chicken was raw on the inside. We would have sent it back but this is not a typical restaurant where you get waiter service. Once they bring you food you’ll never see them again.
Definitely don’t recommend.

Family friendly..the owner and staff are cool...great food
There's restaurant Was good at one time but now, It has a runs tabs on people in the area put them in debt Taking advantage of drunkards and that's a misdemeanor.
Giving him alcohol and then having pay for later This is used to be a practice.
Or still is a practice and reported to the abc.
Also Also I have found people with fights.Numerous things happening around that area in 2019
I found my friend laying on the ground drunk and it was the story spot because they gave him alcohol without money.
Number two , the middle east people have bought thestablishment and made Terrible business and making money out of people in the area You're vulnerable to substance abuse.
Is fights and numerous things happen around this area It used to be a restaurant of bar back in a day but the people that made it passed away Hold it to somebody who is not an American. They are from the middle east Which is I'm kind of business under this name.
As far as the food goes Is it taste terrible i've had it made me sick They try The best but the refrigerator breaks down and that's what happens there Electronical failure and water is badner when I live there The water was dangerous.Look at look at the pool app outside Then you'll notice please.I don't recommend stopping here This is too dangerous for tourist Go to alpine and eat .

Found this little gem on our way back from a long drive from Arizona. Nice little market / restaurant with some great prices. Food was really good as well. Worth the stop!
Food was decent, no other real options anywhere around. Customer Service was great!

Stopped here on the way to Jacumba Hot Springs. It’s kind of the last stop and a great general store with a restaurant. It doesn’t look a lot on the outside, but it’s packed with all kinds of things for shopping for anything you might’ve left behind.
We were met at the door And could smell the food being cooked. Our greeter took us to the back room where we could sit inside and look out the window.
The menu is rather extensive with a wide variety of food. We had the kebab combination and a cheeseburger with fries both were delicious. Sorry for the partial hamburger as I took a few bites before I snapped the picture :-)
Well, the place doesn’t look like much I would highly recommend stopping in for a great bite to eat and picking up all those extra things you forgot when you left home.
Highly recommend the Mediterranean food and the other options on the menu

Dont think the restaurant is open anymore. It's a hillside mart with a wide variety of items; some you wouldn't expect. They are located all over the store, so you do have to look through it to find what you need. It's a bit overpriced...$3.99 for family size Campbell's soup....but in this location, you kind of expect it.

Nested into a quiet town you may stumble upon a modest & unassuming no frills diner. If you choose to eat there you'll discover a meal that slaps harder than it has any right to. You can see and taste the care and consideration put into eat plate that elevates what would normally be a basic meal to something very memorable. The folks who run the restaurant/general store were kind and very friendly and made us feel at home. A perfect quick stop for ramblin' men and ladies.

A proper diner atmosphere with good food and very kind service. Toilets would need a renovation tho.

Stop if you in the area, grat owner, good food and pretty much everything you want or need he has.
The falafel were absolutely incredible, so moist and flavorful. We would definitely come back for the food. The shop was also fully stocked with whatever you need
