Band playing tonight is The Moon Colony. Come down and rock!!!!
This business is now closed and has moved to OXNARD, CA
We went to the Brea location and we were so disappointed. They no longer serve good food unless you want a hotdog or pizza, eat before you visit. The service sucked as wellWe won't be back.
No food really. Fun place to see a cover band concert. They definitely need bar stools at the bar. Basically stand in the whole place ☹️
This is my first and last time coming here. They don’t really have any tables and chairs and they no longer have their menu. All they serve is Costco pizza, gross hot dogs and burned French Fries. We were there for a concert tonight and their sound system was horrible. I spoke to an employee there and they told me they totally changed their business operations Nov 2021 just do concerts and booze.
There are very few if any venues like Copper Blues in OC. Situated adjacent to the Improv in Brea it has an open air feel with one whole wall open to Brea Blvd. Folks waiting in line on the sidewalk for the Improv can peer inside for a peek at the scene inside. There's a large bar in front of the stage with plenty seating. The rest of the venue has various types of seating from high top tables to booths. I've been to several shows and had a fun time at each. The food is good and the drink prices were reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's unique type of venue, think mini HOB. Good place to hang for an evening with friends.
I purchased 4 tickets for friends to attend the Dec. 23rd "Killer Dueling Pianos" event. The tickets said doors open at 5:00 and according to the website there are multiple food options available to purchase. How embarrassed was I to find out from them that the doors did not open until 6:00 and the only food option was to order pizza and hot dogs. They went across the street and ate dinner. It was promoted as a 'Holiday Special' and they anticipated the music to include holiday songs - as I was told others in the audience were, as well - not! This venue is totally misrepresentative on several levels.
We went to see Flash Pants and had a great time. Smaller sized intimate venue felt like we were in the middle of the action. Our group had several drinks and appetizers as we watched the show. Can't wait to come back and see what next shows they have.
The atmosphere and energy were fantastic. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The food was terrible. We ordered the chicken pesto pasta that came with bits of dark meat chicken and mostly bits of skin and fat. It took a long time to get our food, over an hour. Very disappointing. The waiter was very nice but had no idea what he was doing. He kept forgetting our orders, sent the wrong food to our table and had to ask us to repeat an order because he couldn't read his own handwriting. The entertainment that night was fantastic. I would go back for that, but not for the food.
This was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The only employee that was helpful was the host at the entrance. The "Manager" was letting his staff drown all night, unhelpful to them or anyone attending the show. If ANYONE would approach him to ask a question he would just start shaking his head saying "No, no, no." Before the individual would even finish asking their question. All the waiters were clearly overwhelmed as it seemed they had double booked the event. And as we apologized with a quick sorry to a waiter and asked if we could place a drink order, one after another would either just walk away or say "No I don't take orders." As they walked away without offering a solution. They only had 2 bartenders available for the "400 people" the Manager told us would be in the venue that night, after telling us we would NOT get a seat since they also booked a 70 person birthday party. And they used an entire row of tables and seats to place food on. So if you want a drink or food you had to make your way to the front stage where they had a bar. And you also had to go back to pick up your order since we were informed they would NOT bring it to us because we were to far back. A DISASTER! Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this place. It's upsetting.

Been there twice in two weeks. Tonight was to see the Brono Mars cover band it was atrocious. Reverb and feedback squealing for the entire night. Acoustics were trash. I managed to speak with fake Bruno and he blamed the poor audio on the venue and seemed dead set to just power through. After a 30 minute break they came back on. Same issues, maybe worse. Clearly they didn’t care to fix it. I was embarrassed for them. What’s weird is the weekend before we saw Brandon Wilder and his band and they absolutely slayed it on a slow night. One of the best live shows I’ve seen in a couple years. And it was a god awful slow night. I will 100% come back to see Brandon, but as long as the venue tolerates garbage audio I’m hard pressed to spend money on another band. The bar is trash. Most beer is sold out and the bar staff seems they’d rather do just about anything else besides serve drinks. The back bar isn’t staffed so 2 bar tenders for a few hundred people. Brilliant work. ?♂️To top it off, the front desk refused entry to my friends, and meanwhile didn’t actually verify our tickets. I’d suggest to anybody coming to just say you have tickets and hope they don’t check. It’s not worth pre paying. Not for this junk audio and slow bar service.
Amazing place, huge windows right in downtown Brea. The live band karaoke is a great time. I saw the recent negative reviews and was worried, but my experience was great. Drink wait times were average for a restaurant. Maybe slow for a bar but I'd say very average for a restaurant. Our waiters came quite often to make sure we were all ok. We had one server change during our night, both were great. They were out of a couple drinks, however, through the night we had at least one of everything they did have and it was all good. Try the spicy cucumber!
Four drinks/beers in a row weren’t available (4). The food is overpriced for the quality and quantity. And the waitress was one of the worst I’ve ever had. This place really is deserving of a one star, it’s not one little problem. It’s a complete dumpster fire.
Went to eat at Copper Blues before heading to a show next door at Improv. Getting a table was easy, now I know why. First, while trying to order a beer, CB was out of a few of them. CB was also out of a few things at the bar too : no VO, no Bitters, had to check for Crown Royal. Took about 10 mins to get our drinks from when we ordered..normally that wouldn't be bad if the place was busy but the restaurant was still empty. Started off with the cheese platter appetizer...that was good.We then ordered our food, I had the fish and chips , mine came out good, my buddy's came out dry. My wife had a Margherita pizza, the sauce had a funny taste and the crust was rubbery. Someone else ordered the spicy pepperonni also said the sauce tasted funny and crust was horrible didn't bother taking the rest of the pizza home. One person in our party of 8 just ordered the classic Caesar salad no anchovies, brought her salad with anchovies. She sent it back, never got her salad back till end of our meal. The only saving grace of this place was the entertainment "The dueling pianos couple".If I did go back would be to see them, and maybe have the cheese platter appetizer but that's it.
So unfortunately there is a 3 star like for this establishment. Mr Hartman needs to tend to this establishment a little better is my opinion. I've eaten here for brunch a long time ago. The quality of the food was mmmm good, would've been 5 stars at that time of year. But as of late the food is not as appealing as it was back then. We ordered a pizza for 2 and garlic fries. I wanted to know if the pizza was made there or was it Digiorno ? Sorry to state that the pizza was less than stellar and the garlic fries were more limp and super soaked oil that made it more so than anything else. Oh we also had I believe donut holes with some kind of creamy sauce. Let's just state that it was kind of disheartening for a simple dessert. Cinnabon it was not and not even close. I'm sorry but I have frequented this establishment for the entertainment and have refused to order food. I'll buy a beer and that's because I wholeheartedly believe that the beer can't be messed up, but then again anything is possible under the sun. As for the piña colada it was fantastic 1 time so far. 1 other time after the server who will remain nameless just ordered pineapple juice and it came layered and unfortunately bad, just bad. Not shaken, mixed, stirred or anything of that sort. We sent it back and decided to order a Shirley Temple, at that point I couldn't decide what was worse. My actual thought was that Shirley Temple herself would turn over in her grave if she were to try even a sip of that. In all honesty I refused to pay for either drink and the server had the audacity to still want to charge me for one of those drinks. I was appalled and was stern with him about what I was going to pay for. He made a big stink about it and was petty about the situation. What I hadn't mentioned was when he brought out the Shirley Temple he slammed it on the table without a word and kept walking. Total attitude from that point on, you know the type, looking at you with snearing looks from the corner of the eyes, etc. Anyhow this is my unfortunate review of this place and if you'd like to know more you can reach out and we can discuss the future. No 86ing here please for the honesty and humility of writing this post since it asked to write a review.
