There are very few if any venues like Copper Blues in OC. Situated adjacent to the Improv in Brea it has an open air feel with one whole wall open to Brea Blvd. Folks waiting in line on the sidewalk for the Improv can peer inside for a peek at the scene inside. There's a large bar in front of the stage with plenty seating. The rest of the venue has various types of seating from high top tables to booths. We went to see Flash Pants and had a great time. Smaller sized intimate venue felt like we were in the middle of the action.Our group had several drinks and appetizers as we watched the show.Can't wait to come back and see what next shows they have.
The atmosphere and energy were fantastic. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The food was terrible. We ordered the chicken pesto pasta that came with bits of dark meat chicken and mostly bits of skin and fat. It took a long time to get our food, over an hour. Very disappointing. The waiter was very nice but had no idea what he was doing. He kept forgetting our orders, sent the wrong food to our table and had to ask us to repeat an order because he couldn't read his...
