The table side guacamole was fresh & flavorful, the chips & fresh tortillas were very good but the rest of the food was just ok.
With SO many choices for amazing Mexican food around I wouldn't go back.

Some of the food was not great. The waitress was very bad, but still left her a tip.

We were seated 50 min after reservation time. Service was extremely slow. And my fajita that is supposed to come out sizzling was cold.
We enjoyed very good food, good service, and a good experience, in spite of the high noise level due to a very large Thanksgiving crowd.
Great Thanksgiving experience. Food was excellent and service was amazing. Not too many people to be over crowded but enough people to keep the food replenishment coming.
Great time as usual. Cesar is are favorite waiter he is awesome. He keeps are glasses full and are empty plates gone. Very nice and very friendly. Love the guy
Ok I'd like to have btr to say but HUGE disappointment all around. While I was seated rt away no one came to take my order for 14 mins & it was not crowded yet. Then my friend joined & it took another 20 for anyone to take her drink order, again no crowd yet. After drinks waiter did check back. Food & drinks were a good price but food was very bland & cold. Worst part was they noticed her bday gift & brought flan; we didn't ask for it & then put it on the bill! WHO DOES THAT?! UNREAL‼️
Our Server, Sergio, was outstanding...the best. So attentive and so kind. He knew exactly what we needed before we could even ask for it. We let the Assistant Manager know how pleased we were, as well because we wanted to share our positive experience with her personally. We've been going to El Torito Grill - Brea for; I'd say, 12 years and it just keeps getting better; in fact, better more recently I'd say in the past few visits. My husband took me there for my 65th Birthday (10/19) as we usually go for Holiday events and I'd have to say "thank you" for the yummy Brunch dining experience. Respectfully submitted, Sharon Bowe
The food was delicious. There was so many food choices didn't know where to start. The menudo was great and so were the tacos with homemade tortillas. Our waiter, Sergio was fantastic! I recommend this place.
The hostess was wonderful, and friendly. Seated us right away. The server was attentive, and thoughtful. Brought us chips, salsa, tortillas- and didn't treat us any differently for the Taco Tuesday food we ordered- which brought the bill down... But we gave him a generous tip. Thank you

$8 for a very small cup of cold tortilla soup, sweat dropping on the table from our waiter, some random service charge....and not cheap! Won't be back.
We had reservations & they seated us before our time. Lots of courses to choose from, fast service on tortillas & champagne. Wonderful way to celebrate my mom's birthday!

The brunch variety was great!. The pozole was full of flavor. If you're a fan of the sweet corn cakes... you are in luck with all you can eat! Will go back again!
I didn't expect much from a chain restaurant like this, but the food at this location is really good. Coming from the Pacific Northwest where it is nearly impossible to find good Mexican food, I found this restaurant to be a real treat. Since I grew up in SoCal, I know what good Mexican food is like. I was not disappointed.
