Horrible!!!! Service was bad. And food was naaaasty. My chicken teriyaki had a groooossssss after flavor. (My stomach today, is not ok if you know what I mean). Super small portions too. Anyways, the place wasn’t even busy so not sure why it took forever to get greeted, forever to get our drinks, forever to get our food. When we finally got one of our appetizers, the edamame was ice cold! Half the table got their meals and we’re finished eating before the other half! Oh, and get this, just as we got our appetizers, a table who sat after us were already done and leaving, then we finally got our appetizers. Not even a 10% off for the beyond horrible service. Just a dumb look on their face when I voiced my concerns. No wonder why the place was empty. I should’ve taken that as a sign.My family and I will NEVER go back and I plan to tell others about our awful experience and the awful food they served us.

Fantastic service. Food was amazing. Spicy california rolls & black dragon rolls (unagi), was fantastic! High quality. Fresh. Service was above par, lovely waitress. A lot of seating. Miso soup was not over salted, tasted great - I would say they should add some tofu to it but other than that, outstanding place to eat.

We love coming to this spot because it has such a clean aesthetic vibe. It's a bit hidden away and tucked into the middle of a restaurant area, think like a cul-de-sac next to a parking structure. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of seating. My boyfriend and I enjoy quieter less packed places and this place has a calm and intimate environment. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the service is so smooth! It's as if they know just when to stop by your table and when not to. As an avid AYCE sushi goer, this is one place I don't mind paying a la carte. They're hand rolls are so delicious with a generous amount of fish. They're appetizers (soft shell crab and shrimp tempura) are exceptional. They offer refillable sodas (but keep in mind the first one might be watered down.) They offer many different dishes from katsu, udon, bowls, sashimi combos and specialty rolls. They even offered us free mochi ice cream on the house after our meal maybe because we ordered so much haha Thank you Hana Maru for always providing great service and food to our dates!

Have eaten sushi all over so-cal during my days as a truck driver and growing up in SGV. Hana Maru is something unique and reminds me of the old school sushi places with just how great the sushi is! Definitely turned the wife and I into regular customers :)

5 star reviews must be fake. This place does not have fresh fish or fresh glasses for that matter. The glasses for our beers were so dirty we had to ask for another set which weren't much cleaner. The fish tasted old and looked old and then 30 min later throwing up and stomach cramps were the gift given to me. Ugh terrible and sick of fake yelp reviews should have known better but my son wanted sushi and we were too tired to travel far.
