Love them! I just hope uni gunkan can come back asap :(

We waited 30 more minutes than what was expected. The turnover was slow and food was mediocre. Slimy fish, and over salted soup. The portions are extremely small, left hungry after paying $70 for two person. The atmosphere is cute, but that’s it, do not recommend!

The pricing of their food feels like they put random numbers on a wheel and spun it for each food’s price. It is unreasonable to an amusing point.
Don’t get me wrong, their food is not bad and serving was pretty fast, and the environment is pretty good too, just that it’s always very crowded (which I don’t understand, why would so many people still go when the pricing is so ridiculous).
One ojyu bowl is $11.50, the bowl is only palm sized, and when I stick my chopstick into the rice, i immediately reaches the bottom - the rice is only like one centimeter deep. There are 3 tempura shrimps, two pieces of chicken each around a quarter coin’s size, and one piece of baby green pepper. I have no clue how those are worth 11.50 dollars.
Other food items are priced in a similar way, I believe their prices are available on their menu. I don’t think I’m poor but that pricing is just……very ridiculous to me.
If you just got a million dollars from someone and they order you to spend it in a day, then try this place out.

Really enjoyed my first time here recently! Of course it’s not a $300 per person omakase restaurant so if you’re looking for that obviously this is not the place. For great tasting value oriented sushi I thought it was absolutely excellent! Nigiri sushi was great and the sushi rice with every nigiri order was very tasty too. For price to sushi quality ratio I was thoroughly impressed and can’t wait to be back!

The current reservation system is horrible! It’s saying “We’ll text you when your seating time gets near”, but they never sent the text message. They said they would call the number in front of the door, and send text as well. When I asked them again for the seating, they said the number passed, because they only called the number by the door, no text message at all!!!

I checked in on their app 45 min before the arrival time and arrived on time, BUT still have to wait another 50 min. What’s the point to check in with app then?

Try to see the difference here
The taste is different but not bad
The space in the store is a bit small

I smell something not pleasant when I went inside the restaurant.
Sashimi is not fresh. I taste fishy. My favorite sushi were eel and smoked scalop and these are cooked.
We finished with Taiyaki ice cream. My husband loves Taiyaki. But Taiyaki here is fried not baked. It looks like they deep fried the frozen one. Ice cream is good though.

It's J town, parking is near the store, food is freshly made, line can be long, very long like 2 hours long, so go early or go really late.

The food is good, and my family and I have been coming here for years. The service and check in system recently has been absolutely terrible. My family and I were removed from the waitlist and the hostess (her name started with a J) claimed we got texts that we never received. She made me show her the texts I received, and she claimed I deleted messages. We were seated at the bar (which was fine but we wanted a table). A lot of other people who checked in after us were removed from the waitlist as well. Please do not expect any good customer service here. :) Food is decent though.

my family has been waiting 1hr 30mins-1hr then 30mins more-to be seated bc we requested a high chair.... wouldn't have taken my kids if i knew they have difficulty accommodating for children. i have a 3yr old and 7mos old, bad first impression idc how the food tastes. only here for the one piece collab, but will definitely not come here again.
