Went in for lunch and there was a long line and only one cashier taking orders. One of us had to use the restroom and we were told we have to stand in line again to complete our lunch order. This is Nordstrom have some pride. It was not good experience
Delicious food and amazing staff! (LOCATED ON 3RD FLOOR of Nordstorm's) I have always loved Nordstorm's Marketplace Cafes, but I haven't lived close to one in years, so this was our first and second visit to this location. Now, this is located within Nordstorm, so of course parking at any of Nordstorm's parking lots would be an easy way to reach this restaurant.
Our first visit was on Mother's Day, and while it was a bit busy, I didn't think it was overly crowded. Our youngest is autistic and can be a little too active and loud, so we asked to sit outside so that we could relax and not have to worry about him accidentally interrupting others' Mother's Day meals. There was no one outside, so it was like we had our own private room. The atmosphere was amazing, both inside the cafe and out on the terrace. It is mostly quiet with maybe a medium conversation noise level. Even outside is nice, warm, and quiet. To order, you generally view the menu and pay for the meal before you are seated, so most of the wait is done before you even sit down. This can be a plus for families with energetic kiddos!
The food was delicious! As it always has been... My only complaint is that they no longer offer the Chicken Tomato Alfredo (over 10+ years ago, but I am still upset about it, lol). However, I did find a new pasta dish that I love! Everyone enjoyed it here, and I loved all the healthy options on the kids' menu. Nice full plates with healthy and delicious food options that even my picky eaters loved!
Our second trip was a few days later. We were staying at the nearby Embassy Suites, so I wanted to try to visit at least once more before we left the area. It was the same amazing experience, but this time, it was just the Hubby and me, and we had our meal indoors.
Overall, this is a great place to have a delicious and relaxing meal with friends and family!
I got the veggie omelette, I think they call it frittata, super yummy! Prices are okay compared to the price of the eggs. Very nice crew.. I had a job close by, so I visited them day after day, and they didn't disappoint me !
Every time I eat here I'm like how do they not have a Michelin star. I had the French dip and the bf had the mushroom ravioli, the frech dip would 100% be my last meal and the bf said this is the best italian dish he has ever had beside a italian place he went to in Dubai. The magic bar made me roll my eyes and get mad at how good it was. I asked the server to heat it up a lil and I couldn't eat more then a few bites because, like you know, I was full of the best french dip on planet earth... the service was excellent. The girl working the register and some of the other register people had a bit of a attitude but like, I get it we were not cute as we had just come from a camping trip. All to say, eat here and you will never be disappointed

Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday for a small meal and tea. We were a bit full from an earlier outing, yet managed to try a few small appetizers and plates to curb our appetite. The tea was amazing! I recommend this place for a light meal. The ambiance was calm and quiet. Perfect for a small intimate celebration!

Love The Cafe @ Nordstrom! Food is always fresh, service delightful and the atmosphere is fun and always clean.
Parking: Usually it’s an easy in & out, with plenty of parking. Last time I went was 1week til Christmas ?? so it was a bit more difficult to find a spot.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. Mine are grown, but when they were younger they would come with me all the time!

just had one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time with my wife at Marketplace Café. This restaurant is an absolute gem and the experience was made even better with exceptional service. From the manager Karina who set up a beautiful table for us with extras on it to set a romantic mood, to our waitress Christina who was filled with delightful recommendations of her favorite dishes for us to consider, every bit of this experience was enjoyable. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were all memorable. Hats off to the chef ??. Looking forward to frequenting this place the next time we are at Brea Mall, which knowing my wife will be sometime soon. ? Thanks Marketplace Cafe!

They have really good salad dressings. The salad was delicious. The sandwich should have been hot throughout. Some parts of the sandwich was cold.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mom. She is in her sixties, Asian, have some difficulty speaking English. She came with two friends who are like her, and they wanted to sit by the window. They were told they cannot and were given some strange reason about how the restaurant was understaffed? Even though there were people sitting by the window… and more people were seated there as time went on? What does that even mean? The optics tell me this was very discriminatory, and my mom and her friends were ignored because of the language barrier. This is truly unacceptable. It’s a restaurant inside a mall. Calm down.
The service attitude of the girls here is not bad, but this guy doesn't know what he is proud of. After his service attitude, I never want to patronize this store again!
