Warning, is going to be odd review about one item. But on wednesdays they have a 2 dollar spam musubi special. Honestly, as a struggling college student there are no words to describe how insanely helpful this has been and something i weirdly look forward too. 10 bucks gets me 5 and i’m set for lunch for a a few days. It’s small thoughtful little ways with mom and pop locations like this that add a layer to a local community. Major chains could never, devoid of warmth and any way to build a relationship with its patrons beyond an exchange of overpriced and sometimes lackluster food. Places like this provide humble and honest ways for the community to feed themselves. Will support this place as long as I can.

My wife and I are big fans of Hawaiian BBQ and usually get the chicken katsu. I loved it but my wife thought the katsu sauce tasted more like traditional BBQ sauce than at other places. But the food was cooked well and the service was excellent. I really like that the sauces are self serve so you can get as much as you like.

Have been going here for many yeas because I like the food and the wait time on avarege is between 5 to 8 min. But this time, I literally had to cancel my order due to an understandable mistake and a horrible customer service by one of the managers working there. The cashier looked fairly new and probably was still learning, so it's not on him. I ordered my food to take out and waited while using my phone. After almost 30 min of waiting and seeing multiple customers after me getting food, I finally went to talk to the cashier. He asked the cook and they told me it's coming. So I called the manager because they didn't want to look in why my order is so late. The manager looked annoyed and told me it's because they were buissy. Again, I didn't want to find out why and brush it off as no big deal. OK, but all the other people after me got their wood? He started looking for prior order receipts and discovered that someone else took my food with theirs a while back. So he said he would get me my food and hesitantly offered me a free drink, having a double take if he should even do that. Its like I'm causing them financial strain. Wow. I declined the drink. After another 8 min, i requested a refund. The manager looked even more annoyed and bothered. "Give me your card." Treating customers like an employee who messed up is an interesting concept, to say the least. I didn't want to argue or debate over food or lecture an employee on how to treat a customer. If he doesn't know, then it reflects on the whole franchise and their training department. In the past two weeks, i spent over a 100 on there, so it's not like im trying to freeload off the place. You really dont know how a place is until a problem arises and how it is handled and only takes a few people to ruin an entire experience. This review is for those who want to have a peaceful day going out and not dealing with attitude if something should happen.

Solid food and atmosphere. Wide variety of sauces to choose from, and I appreciate the available jalapenos. I got the chicken katsu and it wasn't too expensive. Only complaint is that the katsu sauce is a bit underwhelming in taste and isn't what I'm used to.

This place has survived for years. I hadn't been in a long time. Same woman at the cash. I ordered the roll with shrimp tempura and California roll inside. It was freshly made. The shrimp was and not soggy. It was very good. Comes with soup.

This is my go-to when I'm too tired to cook because I know I'll have leftovers for lunch. This place has some tasty food - very authentic flavors! It's a family favorite! Moco loco, spam masubi, Seafood mixed plate, BBQ mixed plate... it's all good stuff! And the staff is always friendly!

This place was recommended by my teen, and he wasn't wrong about the taste and portion size. The chicken from his mixed plate was cooked well (and not rubbery like other places). He also had musubi for the first time, also cooked very well. The katsu was crispy, hot, and fresh. Don't skip the sauces they offer! Overall, best Hawaiian bbq I've had in a long time.
