The lady who works there seems passive aggressive… I felt pressured to order quick causing me not to choose what I really wanted. The food was alright… big portion was nice but that’s what I should be getting for the price. I did like that they gave free miso soup.

After receiving my order of a regular bowl with complimentary miso soup, I added soy sauce to the soup - straight away.
Katie, the owner, had a personal question to ask me. She asked, "Why do all non-Asians add soy sauce before trying the food?"
I responded, "I'm pretty sure it's an individual's preference and not necessarily a cultural habit."
She persisted, "But it's always non-Asians who add sauce to the food before trying it."
This conversation went on for a good 5 minutes while my posse and I were trying to enjoy our food. It eventually evolved into a personal back and forth between us and Katie, which was quite pleasant.
I gave this restaurant 5 stars all around because the poke was excellent, as well as the miso soup. This woman takes pride in her food and was likely insulted that I wanted to add sodium to her creation.
Also, now knowing that she is slightly eccentric and an artist, I almost want to return every day just to chat with her and maybe play with her emotions.
Anyway. We love you, Katie, and we'll definitely see you soon.

Probably one of the best Poke places. The owner is super kind and is a fun person to talk to. The place is very clean and even has a ramen area where you can pick any packaged ramen and heat it up. Definitely a great place to go in Brea 👍🏻 food is amazing

I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so horrible that it motivated me to write one.
The moment I walk in, there's a middle aged woman standing there staring at me without any proper greetings. Since she was just standing in front of me and staring, I felt pressured to order right away without getting a moment to read the menu and when I tried to ask questions, such as the bowl size (how was I supposed to know that all the bowls are the same size? Actually read another negative review about this) and additional toppings, she gave me an attitude when answering and always added "it says it on the sign right there" at the end, basically telling me just read the sign instead of bothering her.
It's my first time at the restaurant and I'm sorry I didn't have the entire menu and additional signs memorized in my head. Maybe if she gave me a moment to breathe and read the menu and look at all the toppings when I first walked in instead of being on top of me to order so that she can go back inside to sit and chill, I wouldn't have to bother her at all by asking any questions.
I felt so uncomfortable the entire time I was ordering and my husband who was with me said he also felt intimidated and uncomfortable by that lady's attitude. In fact, we felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to eat inside. We took the food and ate it outside.
The food didn't even taste that good. It was very bland... I've definitely had better poke bowls before. Therefore, there is absolutely no reason for us to go back there ever again.

Terrible customer service. Even existing in that restaurant was an up charge. Please avoid.

$19 for a large bowl of poke is ok but don't try to charge me extra for a second spoonful of fried onion. The person who came out to take my order was in a hurry, and it was obvious. I shouldn't be able to notice that you're in a hurry. Bad customer service.

Veryyyy good poke! i got tuna, salmon, octopus and they were very generous with the protein scoops. The only thing that was off was the rice, but I came close to closing so maybe it was just the bottom of the barrel. Oh, the miso soup was also very salty, but again, probably bottom of the barrel. I've been coming here throughout the past 3 years I've lived here and tried other spots too - this poke place is my favorite.
Wheelchair accessibility: no steps and a ramp to enter from the parking lot. double doors that can be opened and a clear walkway

Reasonable prices compared to other poke in the area, good selection of proteins and toppings, very good portions.
I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but I don’t want visit this place again. I’m so annoyed. I usually don’t get bothered by the little things, but sometimes that’s all it takes. I only ordered rice, fish, and topped it with fried garlic and onion. I asked for an additional side of fried onion because I like to eat half, save the other for lunch and I want that crunch, but they said they’d have to charge me extra. Really?! I’m sure it was only a minimal fee, meanwhile my husband’s bowl was overflowing with one of everything on the menu. I made them recognize that fact and they said that’s just how it is. We spent almost $50 and they still wanted to charge me for a little thing of fried onions. I wanted to love this place, and we’d go all the time, but I’ll find someplace else where I don’t have to worry about being charged for a topping.
