We ate at this Ruby's for the first time today. We had the super burger and a malt which were both so delicious. Our waitress, Delilah, was awesome and really made our lunch great. She was so personable and on top of everything!

Typical Ruby's diner with all of your favorites in a nostalgia restaurant smack in the middle of downtown Brea. I highly recommend the vegetarian patty melt and deep fried button mushrooms for an appetizer.

We are long-time Ruby's customers, but sadly, no more ? / Since change of ownership, nothing is the same anymore except the atmosphere ? / Please come in and judge for yourself ?

First and foremost this city is absolutely beeaautiful!!! Like something out of movie. It sure is a sight to see ❤ And let me tell you about this place! To me this place was an experience all together. Their was nothing that I didn't like here. Ricky was so hospitable and welcoming. He payed attention to the fine details of what I asked for. And I know I can be difficult and picky at times but he made sure to put a smile on my face in everything that he did. Obdulia was the cook and she was phenomenal when making my dish. You can tell how passionate she is in her cooking. She and Ricky deserves a raise ? my visit was very memorable and I liked everything about it. God bless!!!

My first time here was horrible! I came in for breakfast on a Sunday morning with my husband, and the waiter was very attentive and welcoming. But when the food came out, I was so upset with the quality. I felt like we should’ve just ate at home. Whoever the cook is here should be embarrassed and needs to go back to culinary school!! Everything on my plate was basically burnt scraps. My english muffins were burnt, my ham was hard and tough, and my potatoes tasted like they got stuck to a burnt pan and then they just threw some large raw onions pieces on top. Literally I only ate like 4 soft potato pieces..The spoon for my coffee was dirty with what looked like old milkshake or ice cream. I just had really high hopes for this place and decided to give it a try, but I left the restaurant still hungry and unsatisfied with my breakfast.. it put us in a bad mood knowing we had to pay for burnt scraps off the grill and still go somewhere else to eat.

Everything I've ordered has come out good. Especially fried goods, much better than Lazy Dog who over cooks all their fried offerings. Service is cheerful and personable, it's a varied and interesting menu, I think this is a bit of an undiscovered gem. I've yet to see them full, so getting a table is easy. Try the buffalo cauliflower if you like spicy, it's just right

Ruby’s Diner was chosen for lunch by our CSU Fullerton graduate for a post commencement ceremony celebration venue. While the facility was quiet and comfortable our party of ten was too large for the prep-service combination on-hand. The service was friendly, but disappointingly slow. Our 11:00 a.m. arrival to an almost empty restaurant was not an advantage. Coffee and water service took ten minutes instead of an expected two minutes - max. Several food items, among the ten of us, were either consumed cold or returned to the kitchen for warming. It was obvious that the food sat for an extended stay on the pick-up shelf. I consumed my burger and fries as-served, but was disappointed at their room temperature. Cold food and slow service drops Ruby’s rating and makes it a one-time-only experience.

Surprisingly good. I had the mushroom Swiss burger, my four year old had the grilled cheese, and wife had the tuna melt. We started off with some friend calamari and again really good. I guess my expectations were pretty low but we were all pleasantly surprised. Will be back again with the kiddos.

The desserts were delicious! The milkshake was so smooth and silky and so tasty! And the root beer float was one of the best! Can't wait to have dinner here.

Really really flavorful food, nice service and clean! I brought my picky 13 year old son for his birthday. Normally he only eats chicken fingers. Today he had chicken fingers, tried the shrimp and fish and chips for the first time ever and he loved it! I had the burger that was cooked to perfection with lots of flavor.Only thing I would suggest, pump up that oldies music to liven the place up a bit! It’s a great location, music would have really brightened up the atmosphere.
