We made 8am reservation for 4 on Father’s Day 2025. As soon as we’re greeted by the host wearing a suit and tie. The outfit greatly enhanced the entire dining experience. He quickly finds our reservation and we’re seated within a minute. All the servers are wearing black with the restaurant beautifully decorated. We had a toddler with us so it was nice of them to seat us in a booth towards the end of the restaurant since the kids can get boisterous. Everyone wished me a Happy Father’s Day and I felt like a VIP there. We ordered 2 waters but the server was so thoughtful and brought waters for all 4 of us. I asked my country potatoes to include sausage gravy, when the plate first arrived without the gravy, I didn’t even notice, our dear server, Jacob, immediately grabbed the plate and apologized for the missing gravy and brought it back smothered. The sausage gravy is worth the extra charge since the sausage pieces are HUGE. I ordered the filet mignon eggs Benedict and although the filet could be more rare, it was still tender and the eggs perfectly runny. My son ordered the simple breakfast with 2 scrambled eggs and was shocked at how much eggs were on the plate. The simple breakfast comes with toast and oh man, that was some beautiful toast. My wife got the salmon Benedict eggs with hash browns. We’ve never seen hash browns fried to such perfection. They must throw them in the fryer instead of the grill top cause each piece was crispy golden brown. Daughter was sick so we just got her the fries and chicken tenders. That plate came out freshly fried. Those fries were not sitting on a warming pan. They came fresh out of the fryer. So I can understand why this place has a 4 star. You come with a big party with high expectations and order food with special instructions, it’s going to get shifty. Not sure how much kitchen space they have but there was a ton of tables so it’s understandable they can get easily overwhelmed. Our total bill was $110 and added a 20% tip. Breakfast for a family of four at such a lovely classy restaurant on Father’s Day with such amazing service was priceless.
The maple bacon waffle was divine!
The place it self is very nice, the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly.
Very cute decoration that invite you for some Instagram pictures!
This place was highly recommended. It was overpriced. Additionally, it seemed like I had to piece together a whole meal. I was not pleased with the way my eggs were cooked after being very specific on how I wanted them. After mentioning they weren't cooked as requested, they were sent back to the kitchen, and then came back out on the plate not having been moved. They were simply put under a heat lamp or microwaved. When I mentioned this, the server appeared put out by my frustration the eggs looked worse than they first came out. No offer was made to remove them from my bill even though I didn't have a single bite because they looked disgusting.
The restaurant looked nice, and we only waited a few minutes to be seated—not a big deal. The problems started when the food arrived. The staff shouted out dish names and slammed the plates down while asking who ordered what. Not exactly a warm experience.
As for the food? It was just okay. Everything lacked flavor, the ingredients tasted cheap, and the presentation was sloppy. It felt like no one cared about the quality, the appearance, or the overall dining experience.
This was my first time here, and unfortunately, nothing stood out—in a good way. Not the food, not the service, not the vibe. Wouldn’t recommend.
Cute aesthetic, slightly upscale cafe. Generous portions
Teresa was so nice and friendly!! She checked in on us multiple times and went above and beyond for us! We had such a nice time and we thank Teresa for that! 😊
Came here for my husband's birthday. Nick was our server and took care of us for brunch. Service and food were amazing!
Irina our waitress was absolutely lovely. The supervisor was also on point. Young gentleman attended to our needs.
Been here a few times - love that you can add eggs as a side. However, I just came over for lunch at 2 12 p.m., and the front door was locked. It says 3 pm on the door and online. An employee leaving the front said "I don't know," when I asked if they were open. Frustrating.

Hate to say but this is a great atmosphere location but the food is lacking. Came for brunch. Ordered a good amount of food with 2 minor asks. The orders got messed up and those 2 asks went to the wrong food. The waiter fixed it but I dislike the food coming out at drastically different times. Maple Bacon waffle didn't taste very maple-ly. Regular waffle had no real flavor. Both 4.6/10. The potatoes had no flavor 2.8/10. The eggs were scrambled hard by default but also no flavor 4.9/10. The upside was the amount given. Bacon was dry but the best tasting at 5.4/10. The unicorn drink was not worth the hype or price. It's color changing non sweetened powder. It was mildly flavored water but not sweetened 1.3/10. Overall food 4.2/10. Location and atmosphere 7.4/10 (it does get loud with more ppl) and staff was 8.2/10.

Visited on Monday for brunch, so it was very slow. Server, Andrew, was very nice and attentive. Espresso martinis were good. The green juice cocktail was well made and delicious. Rib eye chilaquiles were really good--i liked the green more than the red and would split the plate next time. Wife's Denver omlette was good, hash brown chips addictive. 2 entrees, 3 cocktails, $105 plus tip........ on the pricey side, but we enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back with the kids to try the kids' menu. Cheers!

This was pretty miserable experience for my group. We waited 30+ minutes for them to take our order after we sat down and the food was overcooked and cold. For a restaurant that puts gratuity in the bill, the service overall didn’t meet even an average expectation.

Average food for elevated price. Nice atmosphere and nice staff; however, this is not enough for me to return.

Best breakfast! Wow! Huge pancake! Eggs perfect! Bacon just right. Very impressed.
This review will be swift. Toast Kitchen & Bar is a brunch restaurant in Brea. Their interior and atmosphere vibe were great, however, their food and drink were banal and mediocre. Similarly, my Veggie omelet’s side order was mixed up from Sourdough to Potatoes. But that’s fine because I was really hungry. Service was modest. Staff were affable. Prices were pricey. Plenty of parking space. Overall, I didn’t enjoy my brunch.
