The Beef Pho was amazing! The flavors were well balanced and the dish was very hot. Also appreciated the friendly and helpful counter and wait staff. We were approached several times during our meal and asked how we were doing and what we might need. Excellent service.

I will never play at this casino again because of the mozen staff at this restaurant. Ma is Asian and plays here every day, but every time I order food from mozen restaurant here, I feel bad. The rudeness and unfriendly attitude of the staff makes me very angry and ruins my mood. Doesn't even answer the question.

The food is amazing !!!The fact you pay in advance is a clue into the 2 star rating!!This restaurant would do so much better with robots, taking the place of the Servers. I spent 50% of my meal before they ever brought me my drink There are three of us, but brought out two glasses of water, and two forks, but three plates and three chopsticks. Every dishes brought out one at a time Like I said, this restaurant could improve greatly just by simply replacing the slow staff with robots, begging for my two Sotos was over the top ridiculous I had to ask three servers, and the only person that brought me my missing, sodas that I've already paid for was a girl clearing the tables The table and the atmosphere is very nice and peaceful and comfortable. Nobody bothers you. Nobody talks to you nobody tries to fill up your water glass when it's empty. I don't know what I can say. I hope management reads this.

Wouldn't recommend... first time eating here, mediocre food for the price and the rice was probably the worst I've ever eaten. Super dry, sent it back for a new one and surprisingly the next batch was worse. There was no server to complain to and you have to pay before being seated so maybe that's why you have to pay before getting seated. Ambiance was nice but not worth sitting and paying for.

Mozen is my new favorite Asian dining experience. I love the beef bulgogi and kimchi, the crab fried rice is entree worthy, the shrimp Kung Pao is mouth-watering but my only complaint is that there's only a limited menu.....I would love to have more options that deserve a trip to Morongo. ❤️

TLDR: Poor service for dine-in customers, inconsistent quality in dining accoutrements, large portions of so-so food. Visiting Palm Springs on a Tuesday evening in December, my father suggested we have dinner at Mozen, a relatively new Asian dining option at Morongo Casino. The first time for the three of us, we were impressed by the classy decor, brightly lit bar/lounge and secluded dining area behind the gaming floor. We could see a few people dining in but by no means was it busy. We came up to the hostess stand and asked to be seated at a table for three. To our surprise, however, we were also asked to place our order, pay and tip right then and there. There was one large two-sided menu with tiny print in front of the stand and a small laminated menu, from which we ordered two boba smoothies, two bowls of pho, one kung pao shrimp and three glasses of water (2 hot and 1 with ice). The bill came to roughly $90, on which we tipped $20. Even if we had left no tip at all, I would have expected better service than we received. The hostess led us to the dining area and let us choose our booth. As we sat, she placed a red plastic tabletop number and the receipt on the table, which had no place settings, napkins or silverware. The orange pleather bench was sticky with some kind of dried sauce, which I tried to wipe clean with a napkin from my purse. To the restaurant's credit, our order came out within 5 or so minutes after being seated. No one came by to set up place settings or check on us before then. Our bobas came out first. Followed by two women carrying all our food at once. As they set the food down, they asked if we would like extra bowls. It took a few minutes for them to arrive with 3 stacked pairs of heavy, good quality bowls and plates, with heavy soup spoons, forks, chopsticks and napkins. We just stared at the food while we waited for the silverware. The servers -- both of whom were kind and polite -- asked if we needed anything else and we mentioned the waters we ordered. They left to retrieve the water and left us to distribute the plates and silverware ourselves. Due to the size of the plates with food, it took some maneuvering to place each setting with the proper utensils, not without some spillage. As we got situated, we noticed the 2 spring rolls were whole and we didn't have a knife to cut them. The servers who brought our food were nowhere to be found but a man wearing a Santa hat who had been bussing other tables was walking past our table and twirling an empty tray, so I flagged him down as he was walking past and asked if he could bring a knife to cut the rolls -- I kid you not, this person didn't even stop as he walked past and said "we don't have knives," to which I asked if he could ask the kitchen to cut the rolls and all he did was shake his head "no" before disappearing behind the booth. My friend who sensed my patience running thin took her chopsticks to saw the rolls in half before I could ask the woman carrying our waters for a knife. She brought us 3 hot waters in covered paper coffee cups; when we said we'd asked for 2 hot waters and 1 ice water, she took the extra hot water back and returned with the ice water in a covered transparent plastic cup with straw along with a heavy butter knife. The juxtaposition of the heavy ceramic plates and disposable beverage containers captures the identity crisis that is Mozen. It appears to be a classy bar/lounge with sit-in dining but acts like an In-N-Out or other fast casual eatery with shabbier service. The food itself was fine -- nothing to write home about, and (when coupled with the overall experience) definitely not worth the price. The consistency of the boba in the taro smoothie was not right and the pho broth bland. The pho came with fresh basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, lots of lime and hoisin and sriracha sauces on the side, which made the pho more flavorful. If I were stuck in Morongo and all the other dining options were unavailable (there are several!), I *might* return to Mozen.
