We had several people in our party receive food they didn't order. When I was ordering I saw steak sandwich on the menu. I asked the waitress what was in the steak sandwich. She then responded "it's a torta, so it comes with beans, meat, etc." I asked "are you sure? because the menu says steak sandwich usually there isn't beans" I asked if she could confirm & she indeed confirmed that the steak sandwich was just steak & bread, no beans. When my plate arrived I received 1 bread & steak.....That's not a sandwich & it would've been nice to know that the "meal" only came with 1 slice of regular bread. I would've ordered something else. My grandma ordered tacos de asada & received a tostada bowl de carne asada. My mom ordered shrimp scampi & it had absolutely no flavor. It came with a dipping sauce & it didn't taste like anything. The food was not good. The only good thing we had were the albóndigas that is offered in the soup or salad option. We usually go to Gloria's but decided to give this place a try, despite the reviews. This review is not to shame but to hopefully make changes for future guests.

Very disappointed in to-go-order. Chicken in Tostada's was all dark meat from legs and backside of chicken with several pieces full of grissel that we had to spit into the trash. Won't be patronizing La Conquest for awhile, I've tasted better tostadas at fast food places.

The people were friendly the food was ok but I found a roach in my food. I did not say a word just payed my bill and walked out...This is by far the most disgusting thing ... I started reading the reviews looks like I'm not the only one. I wish I would have read them I feel like throwing up so disgusting. The county should do something about it..

Stopped by for dinner while passing through California City. Everyone in our party loved their delicious food. The albondiga soup was thick and hearty. I ordered the Fajitas and they were absolutely flavorful! The waitress was a natural and did an amazing job!

First time eating here and I loved it so much with I had more time to stay lol but I will definitely be coming back more than once a week Ok so I came back and I don’t know what happened but the food tasted different and service was a little different this time.

Great service and cool atmosphere. Maybe good for drinks here but the food I ordered which was 2 orders of chicken nachos around 13 eac which is avg price.The chips had that old taste like they were made weeks ago. The guacamole wasn't hand made. Store bought. Cheese not sharp at all, pretty mild taste.Salsa tasted great but other than that the chips being the main part of the dish is just insane to me that it was that bad when it comes to freshness and they let it be sent out tasting that off. Chicken on the nachos looked questionable in the color and being so shredded but tasted ok. I've had nachos at dozens of spots and this one stands out forsure. Haven't had nachos this bad in a real long time.
Poor quality, in all fronts. Not horrific, but not one redeemable quality overall. The food is below decent, the prices are high, the service is okay. You can tell they microwave their food because of the hot plate that comes to you, even the rice and beans are below average. Their meat is chewy, and not flavorful. The inside is okay, and there's lots of room but always empty tables I suspect for a reason. Overall food is a 4/10
