I loved that they offer refried beans with salsa for the chips! It was the first time I ever saw it in any restaurant. My Fajita Quesadilla was flavorful and the price was reasonable.
This has been our go-to place for years. Unfortunately, the food quality has gone downhill. The ground beef is worse than cafeteria food. The tamales are quite awful - you can't taste the masa, there's a sad amount of poorly seasoned pork inside, and the sauce tastes EXACTLY like Chef Boyardi. This is my first visit, so I don’t know about the food. I’m ordering to go, and the atmosphere seems OK. What I hated is their phone system, which did not default to someone answering.
