Stopped here just to kill some time until the freeway cleared a little on labor day weekend and have to say i was shocked. The food was great to say it lightly and our waitress wish i could remember her name i remember her saying that she had worked there for some time was the greatest. She kept us intertained the whole time we were there. When i am in that part of the state again that will be a stopping spot for me for sure and for you too I'd say you will be satisfied as well.

Lovely Mexican food. Isabel and her husband (owners) are very community based and the food is very good. I love the location, too!

Food: Healthy Bowl with Chile Colorado... YUM! Service: Outstanding!! Charm: over the top!!! There's live (classical guitar) music on Friday's & Saturday's. We'll be back, for sure.

Better off going to jimboys. The salsa taste like tomato sauce base. The chips were hot and crispy. The enchiladas were just okay, red and green were way to saucy which cause the tortilla to be soggy. The beans had more flavor than the rice (which had little to no flavor). SERVICE okay, that was rushed while ordering and rude, as if we were a bother to her. If you have kids, pass on this restaurant, probably why she was so annoyed with us.

Came in when the front and back rooms seemed full. Was surprised how busy they were so early upon opening. I was seated quickly and the waitress (Mandy I believe she said was her name) was very confident and quick with her duties. The food came out quick and was very good! I got a simple cheese quesadilla but it came out perfect. I suggest paying a little extra for their guacamole, very worth it. The atmosphere is relaxing even when it's busy. For being the only waitress during that busy rush Mandy did very well at addressing my table and checking up on me. Kudos to the chef as well, I will definitely be coming back!

Had lunch here for the first time a few days ago. Easy to find right at the front of Burke Junction. Atmosphere inside is very nice with a fountain, dim lighting, and a nice authentic relaxed feel. Food was good but not great. Better than average I'd say. Chips were excellent but the salsa was pretty thin and bland. My enchilada was very good and my taco just ok. Prices were fair for a sit-down restaurant. Overall pretty good and I will go back one day.

Large group handled fairly well by only two servers. Hard to get refills on soda etc. But food all arrived hot and was quite favorable.

I've been coming here for years now and my last couple of experiences have been really bad. This place has unfortunately gone downhill. My main complaint is the service. It's been consistently awful each of the last few times. Either rude, incredibly forgetful, or just doesn't exist. The food is hit or miss. I enjoy the carnitas, but there are places where I've just had better food. I just think it's not worth it. I'm personally going to convince the family to go somewhere else next time.

The food here is ok but on the bland side. El Dorado County has a problem with getting good Mexican food restaurants. We have many mediocre ones. This one is one of the oldest and could use an upgrade.

The carnitas street tacos are the way to go! With a margarita, of course! The place has been around for 30 years! Support local businesses! :)
